We are looking for our first engineering hire to help build the product from the ground up.
The roleThe Founding Full-Stack Product Engineer will work directly with the founders and quantitative team to design and build the first commercial versions of Tessembl.
This is a broad product-engineering role.
You will have substantial influence over:
- technical architecture;
- backend systems;
- frontend design;
- database structure;
- APIs;
- cloud infrastructure;
- security;
- engineering standards.
What you will buildYou will help develop:
- organisation and employee data structures;
- secure enterprise dashboards;
- workforce analytics interfaces;
- assessment workflows;
- reporting and benchmarking tools;
- decision support interfaces;
- data import systems;
- customer administration;
- authentication and access controls;
- analytics and visualisation components.
Core responsibilities
- Design and build the initial SaaS architecture.
- Develop frontend and backend systems.
- Design relational data models.
- Build secure multi tenant infrastructure.
- Develop APIs and data-ingestion pipelines.
- Build analytics-heavy user interfaces.
- Integrate statistical and machine learning outputs into the product.
- Implement authentication, permissions and role based access.
- Establish audit logging and data quality controls.
- Support cloud deployment, monitoring and backups.
- Integrate with external enterprise systems where required.
- Establish testing, documentation and engineering standards.
- Work directly with early customers during implementation.
What we are looking for
- Robust full stack development capability.
- Experience building modern web applications and APIs.
- Strong understanding of databases and data modelling.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Understanding of authentication, permissions and SaaS security.
- Ability to work independently in an early-stage setting.
- Strong product judgement.
- Ability to collaborate closely with data scientists and quantitative teams.
