Primary Skill – Java (Expert Level)

Strong expertise in Java, with Java 17+ desirable.

Strong experience with Spring Boot and Microservices.

Hands-on experience with SQL, JPA/Hibernate, and persistence technologies.

Experience with Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Robust knowledge of REST API design and messaging.

Experience in performance tuning and optimization.

Good understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD).

Experience delivering applications across on-premises and cloud environments.

Good-to-have knowledge of AWS and Terraform.

Secondary Skill – React

Working knowledge of React and ability to build React components.

Experience with React Hooks and state management.

Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

Experience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs.

Ability to independently handle small- to medium-complexity React development tasks.

Secondary Skill – DevSecOps

Working knowledge of Git and CI/CD.

Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD.

Basic hands-on knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

Awareness of pipeline security, quality gates, and DevSecOps practices.

Basic scripting knowledge using Bash and/or Python.

Secondary Skill – Test Automation

Ability to develop UI automation tests using Cypress and/or Playwright.

Experience with API automation using REST Assured and/or Karate.

Ability to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.





Understanding of TDD and shift-left testing practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop Spring Boot microservices integrating with databases, message brokers, and APIs.

Own REST API design, performance, reliability, and scalability.

Deliver scalable services across on-premises and cloud environments.

Act as a technical leader for Java engineering across the platform.

Define technical standards, review designs, and provide technical guidance and coaching to engineers.

Build and maintain React components and screens for small- to medium-complexity features.

Work with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Follow security and quality gates throughout the development and deployment lifecycle.

Develop and extend UI and API automation tests and integrate them into CI/CD.

Use AI/Agentic AI tools to accelerate development and effectively work across secondary technology areas.

Promote shift-left quality practices and ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC.

Own delivery end-to-end, from solution design and development through testing, deployment, and release.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and coach engineers across different technology areas.
