We're hiring a Backend Heavy Fullstack Engineer to build and ship modern web applications for our clients. You'll work primarily on backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI while also contributing to frontend development when needed. This is a full-time

, work-from-office role in Hyderabad for an engineer who enjoys designing reliable backend systems but is also comfortable working across the full stack.

What You'll Do

TL;DR:

Build reliable backend services with Python and FastAPI, and contribute to React frontend features when needed.

- Build and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Python and FastAPI
- Translate business requirements into clear application logic and maintainable backend modules
- Design relational data models, manage database migrations, and write efficient SQL queries
- Implement authentication, authorization, input validation, and consistent error handling
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services
- Develop background jobs and asynchronous workflows with appropriate retries and failure recovery
- Improve application performance and reliability through monitoring, debugging, and query optimization
- Build and integrate frontend features using React and TypeScript when needed
- Write automated tests, participate in code reviews, and maintain technical documentation
- Collaborate with engineers and client teams to deploy, support, and improve production applications

You Are:

- 2 to 5 years into your software engineering career as a professional
- Someone who enjoys building backend systems, APIs, and data-driven applications
- Robust on backend engineering but comfortable working across the full stack
- Comfortable figuring things out independently and learning new technologies quickly
- An engineer who cares about reliability, performance, code quality, and maintainability
- Someone who can understand a business requirement and translate it into a practical technical solution

Must-haves:

- Strong Python programming skills
- Hands-on experience with FastAPI
- Experience building REST APIs and backend services
- Strong understanding of backend application architecture
- Working knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL
- Experience with database design and data modeling
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and external services
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, validation, and error handling
- Experience writing tests and debugging backend applications
- Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript and modern frontend development
- Good understanding of Git and software engineering fundamentals
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Nice-to-haves:

- Experience with React or Next.js
- Experience with asynchronous Python and background jobs
- Experience with Redis, queues, or caching
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
