About the Role

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer (Intermediate – Senior) to design and build cloud-native applications and integrations that sit at the centre of client digital ecosystems.

You will join a team of five in Kolkata and work across the stack, using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React and Angular on the front end, Node.js and PHP services on the back end, relational and NoSQL data stores underneath, and APIs and serverless technologies to connect applications with CRM, marketing technology, content management, and other business platforms.

This is a hands-on engineering role with real technical ownership. You will translate business requirements into resilient technical solutions, write production-grade code, deploy through automated pipelines, and mentor less experienced engineers along the way.

On a team this size, your work is visible. You will work with a high degree of independence in a fast-paced agile setting and be expected to raise the bar on quality and maintainability across the full software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain full stack web applications using technologies such as React, Angular, Node.js, Next.js, NestJS, PHP, serverless functions, CRM and marketing technology platforms, and WordPress.

- Build and consume secure, well-documented RESTful APIs and lead integrations between custom applications and third-party platforms.

- Develop and support integrations with CRM, marketing automation, customer communications, and other business platforms. This may include HubSpot or comparable platforms, using APIs, webhooks, workflows, custom objects, serverless functions, and other integration patterns to connect customer and marketing data with business applications.

- Design and build serverless and event-driven solutions to support application workflows, integrations, automation, and data movement between systems.

- Model, query, and optimize data across relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQL Server and NoSQL stores such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, and Cosmos DB, including schema design, indexing, and migrations.





- Architect and deploy cloud-native solutions, with a strong preference for Microsoft Azure and services such as Azure Functions, API Management, Blob Storage, managed databases, and containerized workloads.

- Own CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or comparable tools, containerize services with Docker, and contribute to infrastructure automation and environment management.

- Work with product managers, designers, architects, and QA engineers to turn requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria into technical designs and delivery estimates.

- Write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and uphold engineering standards for security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and contribute to monitoring, logging, and observability practices that reduce mean time to resolution.

- Participate in all agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

- Mentor less experienced developers and contribute to engineering standards and continuous improvement across the team.

Required Skills & Experience

- Minimum 5 years of hands-on professional full stack development experience, including ownership of features from design through production release.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field from an accredited university.

- Strong knowledge of Linux and Ubuntu environments. This is a working requirement of the role, and a Windows-only background will not be a fit.

- Strong backend engineering experience with Node.js frameworks and PHP frameworks, including modular architecture, authentication and authorization, API design, and third-party integrations.

- Production experience building modern front ends with React and/or Angular, with the ability to work confidently across modern JavaScript and TypeScript applications.

- Hands-on experience integrating CRM, marketing automation, customer communications, MarTech, or comparable business platforms. HubSpot experience is valuable but is not mandatory. Candidates with comparable platform experience or strong serverless and API integration experience will also be considered.

- Strong experience designing and building integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, workflows, serverless functions, event-driven services, or similar integration patterns.





- Solid database skills across at least one relational and one NoSQL platform, including query optimization and data modelling for transactional applications.

- Practical experience designing, deploying, and operating cloud-based workloads. Microsoft Azure is strongly preferred, although relevant cloud-native and serverless experience on platforms such as AWS will also be considered.

- Working DevOps capability, including Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipeline configuration, Docker, and environment and release management.

- Proven delivery experience in an agile environment alongside cross-functional teams.

- A self-starter with a strong sense of ownership who can drive work forward with minimal supervision.

- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to pick up unfamiliar platforms, technologies, and codebases quickly.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

- Hands-on HubSpot development, including HubSpot APIs, private apps, custom objects, workflows, webhooks, CMS, or HubSpot integrations.

- Experience with other CRM, marketing automation, MarTech, or customer communications platforms.

- Background in startups or product-based companies.

- Experience with Azure Functions, AWS Lambda, or other serverless technologies.

- Infrastructure as code using Terraform or Bicep.

- Test automation with Jest, Playwright, or Cypress.

- Exposure to data engineering pipelines, ETL, analytics, or BI tooling.

- Experience applying AI or LLM-based capabilities in production applications.

- Azure, HubSpot, or other relevant technical certifications.

- Familiarity with secure coding practices, including OWASP Top 10.

- Consulting or professional services experience working directly with clients across concurrent engagements.

- Understanding of enterprise SDLC and delivery governance.

Location

- This is an on-site position in Kolkata, West Bengal, 5 days per week. Candidates must currently be based in Kolkata or be willing and able to relocate.

- The role involves regular collaboration with Canada-based teams and clients, which requires some overlap with North American business hours.

- Candidates must be legally eligible to work in India.
