Role Overview

You will be the bridge between front-end flow and backend logic at Vibecoderz. One moment you’ll be implementing a Cmd+K command palette with buttery animations, the next you’ll be optimizing a Firestore schema to store 100K concurrent learner sessions.

As our founding Full Stack Developer, you’ll own end-to-end delivery of features — from Next.js interfaces and block-based editors to FastAPI microservices and GCP workflows. You’ll ensure the TutorAgent’s intelligence and the Vibe Browser’s actions are experienced by users in real time, reliably and securely.

You’ll use Linear for execution, Notion for specs, and GitHub for repos, collaborating with FE, BE, AI, Prompt, DevOps, and QA to ship polished, production-ready features at startup velocity.

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Feature Delivery - Own user stories from PRD → FE/BE design → shipped feature, ensuring zero gaps between front and back layers.

2. Frontend Engineering - Build real-time team-oriented UIs using Next.js, Tailwind, and shadcn/ui. Implement command palettes, block-based editors, and waveform animations.

3. Backend Engineering - Architect FastAPI services with async workflows, secure endpoints, and clean Firestore/Neo4j schemas.

4. Realtime Integration - Connect WebSocket events to FE interfaces, ensuring smooth TutorAgent streaming, live cursors, and collaboration features.

5. AI Workflows Integration - Expose AI outputs (artifacts, quizzes, code snippets) as APIs, and render them cleanly in the FE workspace.

6. Data Modeling - Define schemas across Firestore and Neo4j (Developer Graph), ensuring efficient queries and scalable structures.

7. Authentication & Security - Implement Firebase Authentication (Google/GitHub OAuth), JWT validation in API Gateway, and FE session handling.

8. Performance Optimization - Keep FE interaction latency <200ms, API p95 <100ms,



and ensure SSR + RSC patterns deliver SEO-ready performance.

9. Testing & Reliability - Write E2E tests (FE + BE), schema validation, and contract tests to ensure regression-free deployments.

10. Collaboration Across Tools - Manage tasks in Linear, write clear PRDs in Notion, and maintain GitHub repo hygiene.

11. Problem Solving - Anticipate scaling issues across both FE and BE; propose solutions that balance developer experience and system reliability.

Success Metrics

90 Days (Probation):

- Deliver one complete feature end-to-end (Text → Course → Artifact → Certification).

- Deploy FastAPI → Cloud Run service with FE integration.

- Workspace live with block editing, Cmd+K palette, and one AI-gen flow.

12 Months:

- Handle 100K+ MAUs with <100ms p95 API latency and <200ms FE interaction latency.

- Achieve feature parity with top-tier SaaS (Linear/Notion-level polish).

- Zero Sev1 issues caused by FS-owned code in two consecutive quarters.

- Test coverage >85% across FE + BE code.

Must-Haves

- 10+ years full stack experience with both React/Next.js (FE) and Python/FastAPI (BE).

- Proven ability to ship end-to-end features in production SaaS products.

- Strong grasp of async I/O, distributed systems, and real-time UIs.

- Product company background with evidence of scaling products.

- Deep understanding of SSR/CSR hybrids, caching, and API design.

Nice-to-Haves

- Experience with Neo4j Graph DB.

- Contributions to open-source frameworks (React, Next.js, FastAPI).

- Prior work on AI-driven products or multi-agent systems.





- Startup/founding engineer experience.

Assessment

Objective: Validate ability to build and deliver an end-to-end feature across FE + BE.

Challenge (Candidate PoC):

1. Build a Text → Course flow:
- FE: Chat panel where user enters “Teach me React Hooks.”

- BE: FastAPI endpoint `/generate-course` that returns structured course outline.

- FE: Render outline as interactive blocks (slide, quiz, code snippet).

- Add a Mini-App Sandbox:

- FE: Code block with syntax highlighting + “Run” button.

- BE: `/generate-miniapp` endpoint returning runnable JS snippet.

- Execute safely in iframe with logs/errors captured.

- Background Workflow

- Trigger certificate generation (mock PDF) via Cloud Task.

- Fire Firestore trigger → SendGrid transactional email.

- Performance

- FE interaction latency <200ms.

- BE endpoint p95 <100ms.

Deliverables:

- Deployed demo (Vercel + Cloud Run).

- GitHub repo with FE + BE modular code.

- Firestore schema + example data.

- Postman collection for APIs.

- 5-min Loom walkthrough.
