Role Description The Front Office Associate is a full time, on-site role based at our property in Gangtok. This role is responsible for welcoming guests, managing check-in and check-out processes, and handling room allocations and key issuance efficiently and accurately. Day-to-day tasks include answering phone calls, responding to guest inquiries, coordinating with housekeeping and other departments, and maintaining updated guest records in the property management system.
The Front Office
Associate also assists with lobby management,
provides local information and guidance, resolves guest concerns professionally, and ensures that all interactions reflect Summit’s standards of warm, attentive hospitality.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills, including the ability to handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns with patience and professionalism.
- Receptionist and front desk skills such as receptionist duties, check-in and check-out procedures, and guest registration.
- Phone etiquette and communication skills, including clear spoken English and the ability to manage multiple calls and in-person interactions courteously.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with reservation or property management systems (training can be provided).
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required in a hotel environment.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive, service-oriented mindset.
- Prior experience in front office or hospitality is preferred but motivated candidates with relevant skills are encouraged to apply.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; hospitality-related education or training is an advantage.
