About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Freight Forwarding Manager to manage and grow our freight forwarding business across air, sea, and surface logistics. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in pricing, P&L; ownership, and an existing customer base that they can bring on board, along with deep knowledge of the freight forwarding, logistics, and supply chain industry.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Customer Management

- Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities in freight forwarding (Air/Ocean/Surface — FCL, LCL, Air freight)
- Bring an existing portfolio of customers and build robust, long-term relationships with new and existing clients
- Act as the key point of contact for major accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
- Negotiate rates and contracts with customers, ensuring profitability while remaining competitive

Pricing & P&L;

- Own end-to-end pricing strategy for import/export shipments across trade lanes
- Prepare and manage quotations, rate negotiations with carriers/vendors (shipping lines, airlines, transporters)
- Take full ownership of branch/vertical P&L; — revenue, cost control, and margin optimization
- Monitor and analyze profitability of accounts and trade lanes; take corrective action where required

Operations & Coordination

- Oversee end-to-end freight forwarding operations — documentation, customs coordination, vendor management, and on-time delivery
- Coordinate with overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines,



CHA/customs brokers, and transporters
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs documentation, and industry standards
- Resolve operational escalations and ensure smooth execution of shipments

Team & Strategy

- Lead, mentor, and manage the freight forwarding team to achieve targets
- Develop and execute strategies to expand market share and enter new trade lanes/segments
- Prepare MIS reports, sales forecasts, and business reviews for management

Required Skills & Experience
- 8–10 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, and supply chain industry
- Proven experience in pricing and P&L; management for freight forwarding operations
- Must have an existing customer base/relationships that can be leveraged
- Strong knowledge of Air, Ocean (FCL/LCL), and Surface freight forwarding
- Working knowledge of customs procedures, documentation (BL, AWB, Shipping Bill, etc.), and INCOTERMS
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills
- Proficiency in freight forwarding software/ERP and MS Office/Excel
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field (MBA preferred)

Pay: From ₹50,000.00 per month
