Position: Fragrance Development Manager (FDM)

Job Location: Mumbai

The Fragrance Development Manager (FDM) is responsible for developing, evaluating, and managing fragrance creations for perfumes, personal care products, home care products, and other fragrance applications. The role requires close collaboration with perfumers, marketing teams, clients, and crossfunctional departments to develop fragrances that meet customer expectations, align with brand identity, and reflect current market trends.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Development

- Work closely with perfumers to develop innovative fragrance formulations.
- Analyze market trends and consumer preferences to identify opportunities for new fragrance developments.
- Ensure all fragrance formulations comply with applicable safety and regulatory standards.
- Manage fragrance development projects from concept to final approval.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including R&D;, Regulatory, Production, and Marketing,



throughout the product development process.
- Stay updated on global fragrance trends, emerging ingredients, and industry innovations.
- Develop cost-effective fragrance solutions based on different product concepts in line with marketing briefs.
- Create new fragrances or select suitable options from the existing fragrance library based on customer requirements and project briefs.

Qualifications

- Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in fragrance development or a related field.
- Robust knowledge of fragrance ingredients, olfactive families, and sensory evaluation techniques.
- Ability to analyse market trends and translate insights into innovative fragrance concepts.
- Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and result-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
