Role Description The Food and Beverage Assistant is a full time, on-site role based at The Shalimar Hotel in Mumbai. This role involves supporting the daily operations of the food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, and banquet areas.

Responsibilities include assisting with food and drink service, setting up and clearing tables, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and ensuring timely service for guests. The Food and Beverage Assistant will interact with guests to take orders, answer menu questions, and address service needs in a courteous and professional manner.



The role also includes coordinating with kitchen and service teams, following hotel procedures, and helping maintain a welcoming and organized dining environment.

Qualifications

- Strong Food & Beverage and Food Service skills, with an understanding of restaurant and hotel service standards.
- Basic Food Preparation knowledge, with the ability to handle food safely and support kitchen or buffet setup as needed.
- Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Attention to hygiene, cleanliness, and safety practices in all food and beverage areas.
- Prior experience in hotel, restaurant, or hospitality service is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Professional appearance and demeanor, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or F&B; training or certification is an advantage.
