We are looking for a Flutter developer to join the mobile team behind MyMotor, Zoop’s consumer vehicle services application available on Android and iOS. The app helps users look up vehicle registration details, check and pay traffic challans, store documents, and access insurance, FASTag, fuel price and EV charging services.
You will work on a single production Flutter codebase used by customers daily, on a small team where you will own features end to end, from design handoff through to release.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and ship current features in the MyMotor Flutter application for both Android and iOS.
- Translate Figma designs into accurate, responsive Flutter screens consistent with the existing design system.
- Integrate REST APIs using Dio: build request and response models, and implement loading, empty and error states for every screen.
- Manage application state using Riverpod, following the state management patterns already established in the codebase.
- Implement offline-first behaviour and local data caching using Hive.
- Instrument analytics events (Firebase Analytics, CleverTap) to support product funnels and conversion tracking, on both success and failure paths.
- Monitor Crashlytics, triage crashes and production issues, identify root causes and ship fixes.
- Ship features behind Firebase Remote Config feature flags so they can be enabled or disabled without a store release.
- Write and maintain unit tests, and contribute to expanding widget and integration test coverage.
- Work within the established design patterns of the codebase, including Template Method base classes, the repository and source abstractions and factory-produced navigation transitions, extending them rather than working around them.
- Participate in code reviews, raise clean pull requests, and follow the documented architecture patterns and coding standards of the repository.
- Update in-repo technical documentation alongside the code you change.
- Support the release process, covering build flavors, QA builds and store releases through the CI/CD pipeline.
- Coordinate with backend engineers on API contracts, and with design and product on requirements.
- Test on real devices across a range of Android and iOS hardware, not only simulators.
Stack
- Language and UI: Dart 3, Flutter, targeting Android and iOS from one codebase.
- State management: Riverpod (hooks_riverpod) with Flutter Hooks.
- Navigation: GoRouter, with authentication-aware redirects.
- Networking: Dio, behind a single configured client with request and error interceptors.
- Local storage: Hive, with generated type adapters.
- Backend services: Firebase Authentication, Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, Cloud
- Messaging and Performance.
- Analytics: Firebase Analytics, CleverTap and the Meta SDK.
- Other: Google Maps with marker clustering, WebSockets for real-time data, payment
- gateway integration, deep linking, and Kotlin and Swift for platform-channel work.
- CI/CD: Codemagic, with build flavors for production and UAT.
Required Skills
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience building mobile applications with Flutter and Dart.
- At least one application published to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, or a
- substantial project you can demonstrate and explain in detail.
- Strong Dart fundamentals: sound null safety, futures, async/await, streams, collections and
- extensions.
- Practical experience with at least one state management solution (Riverpod preferred; Bloc,
- Provider or GetX acceptable, with an understanding of the trade-offs).
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs, parsing JSON, and handling network and error states.
- Ability to convert design files (Figma or similar) into accurate user interfaces.
- Familiarity with Flutter navigation, app lifecycle, and building layouts that work across
- multiple screen sizes.
- Debugging skills using Flutter DevTools, and the ability to reproduce an issue before fixing it.
Good to Have Skills
- Experience with Riverpod specifically (AsyncNotifier, family and autoDispose providers).
- Experience with local databases such as Hive, SQLite or Drift.
- Experience with the Firebase suite: Authentication, Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config,
- Cloud Messaging.
- Experience with Google Maps in Flutter, marker clustering, or location services.
- Experience with WebSockets or other real-time data handling.
- Exposure to payment gateway integration or transactional / fintech applications.
- Basic Kotlin or Swift, and familiarity with platform channels, build flavors and app signing.
- Experience with mobile CI/CD tools (Codemagic, Fastlane, Bitrise or GitHub Actions).
- Experience with analytics and product instrumentation tools such as CleverTap.
- Experience writing unit, widget or integration tests for Flutter.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- Equivalent practical experience with a strong portfolio will also be considered.
Benefits:
- Flexible schedule
- Health insurance
- Paid time off
- Provident Fund
Application Question(s):
- Notice Period (in days)
- Current CTC (in LPA)
Work Location: In person
