George Maijo Automobiles Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Floor In-Charge to oversee workshop floor operations at our Cherthala branch.
The candidate must have 5+ years of relevant automobile service experience, with Maruti Suzuki dealership experience being mandatory. The role involves supervising technicians, monitoring job progress, ensuring quality repairs, coordinating with Service Advisors, and maintaining efficient workshop operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage day-to-day workshop floor activities.
- Allocate repair and service jobs to technicians based on skill and workload.
- Monitor the progress of all jobs and ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate with Service Advisors regarding job status and additional repair requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to technicians.
- Monitor technician productivity, efficiency, and work quality.
- Inspect completed jobs and ensure proper quality standards are maintained.
- Monitor Work-in-Progress (WIP) and minimize job delays.
- Ensure vehicles are completed and delivered within the committed timeline.
- Identify technical issues and coordinate appropriate solutions.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment.
- Maintain safety, cleanliness, and discipline on the workshop floor.
- Ensure adherence to Maruti Suzuki service standards and procedures.
- Support achievement of workshop productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction targets.
- Conduct regular team coordination and performance discussions.
- Prepare and maintain relevant workshop performance reports.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree/ITI in Automobile, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in automobile service/workshop operations.
- Maruti Suzuki dealership experience is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle service, repair, and workshop processes.
- Previous experience in a supervisory/floor management role preferred.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
- Good team-handling and coordination abilities.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Knowledge of workshop KPIs and WIP management.
- Ability to work in a target-oriented and fast-paced workshop environment.
