Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Finance, Accounts Compliance Manager to manage the organisation s end-to-end finance, accounts, compliance, procurement and contracting functions. The role will work closely with management, auditors, banks, clients, vendors, consultants and internal teams to ensure financial accuracy, statutory compliance, transparency, procurement integrity and strong contractual governance.
The Role
You will independently manage the organisation s finance and accounts operations, including accounting, taxation, payroll, banking, project finance, cash flow, audits, procurement, vendor management and contracts. This is a hands-on role requiring ownership, accuracy, integrity, confidentiality and sound professional judgement, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
What You Will Own
Finance Accounting
- Manage day-to-day finance and accounting operations.
- Handle bookkeeping, general ledger, accounts payable and receivable.
- Manage invoicing, collections, vendor payments and reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts in Tally and approved systems.
- Prepare PL, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statements and MIS reports.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and working-capital management.
- Manage banking operations and related documentation.
Project Finance
- Manage project budgets, cost centres and contract-based invoicing.
- Track project expenditure, fund utilisation and budget variances.
- Monitor project cash flows, committed costs and financial milestones.
- Maintain project-wise financial records and audit trails.
- Prepare financial reports, utilisation statements, invoices and supporting schedules.
- Support project financial closure and reconciliation.
Taxation, Payroll Compliance
- Manage GST, TDS, Income Tax, EPF, ESIC, Professional Tax and other applicable compliances.
- Maintain a comprehensive statutory compliance calendar.
- Coordinate payroll processing, statutory deductions, reimbursements and settlements.
- Coordinate statutory, internal, project, funder and client audits.
- Maintain audit-ready records and support timely closure of audit observations.
Insurance, Expenses Reimbursements
- Manage employee and organisational insurance policies and renewals.
- Coordinate documentation and insurance claims.
- Review travel expenses, employee reimbursements and project expenses.
- Manage advances, settlements and expense documentation in line with approved policies.
Procurement Vendor Management
- Manage vendor empanelment, onboarding and due diligence.
- Verify vendor statutory registrations, tax records, bank details and supporting documents.
- Manage RFQs/RFPs, quotations, bid comparisons and vendor evaluation.
- Coordinate purchase orders, work orders and procurement records.
- Ensure procurement follows approved policies, delegated authorities and applicable client/funder requirements.
Contracts Commercial Documentation
- Manage agreements, MoUs, vendor and consultant contracts, POs, WOs and NDAs.
- Coordinate contract review with management and external legal advisers.
- Review commercial terms, payment milestones, taxes, confidentiality, liability and other contractual provisions.
- Maintain a central contract repository and contract tracker.
- Track deliverables, invoices, renewals, amendments and contractual obligations.
Internal Controls Governance
- Maintain strong financial and procurement controls.
- Ensure proper approvals, maker-checker processes and segregation of duties.
- Maintain complete financial, procurement and contractual documentation.
- Ensure strong audit trails and documentary compliance.
- Identify financial, contractual, procurement and compliance risks and escalate material issues to management.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a finance professional who can independently manage multiple finance, compliance, procurement and commercial responsibilities with a high level of ownership. The ideal candidate will combine strong financial knowledge with practical execution, attention to detail and effective stakeholder coordination.
Essential Experience
- 5 8 years of relevant experience across finance, accounts, statutory compliance,
procurement or commercial operations.
- Experience managing organisation-level finance and accounting.
- Experience in project finance, budgeting, fund utilisation and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience with Tally and MS Excel.
- Strong practical knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, EPF, ESIC, payroll and statutory compliance.
- Experience with vendor empanelment and procurement processes.
- Experience managing contracts and commercial documentation.
- Strong documentation, analytical and stakeholder-management skills.
Qualifications
- B.Com / M.Com required.
- CA, CMA, MBA Finance or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting and finance systems.
- Ability to review commercial and financial terms and coordinate legal documentation with management and external advisers.
