JRM Export Private Limited is expanding its direct-to-retailer distribution business in Ahmedabad.

We manufacture and market rice products and are building a direct distribution network supplying kirana stores, rice/grain merchants, supermarkets and other retail outlets. Our portfolio currently includes varieties such as Parimal and Jeerasar rice, along with our consumer brand HEPN, and will expand into Basmati, pulses and other food staples.

We are looking for our first Field Sales Executive for Ahmedabad who can help us build this market from the ground up.

This is not an office sales role. You will spend most of your day in the market meeting retailers, opening new outlets, taking repeat orders and developing long-term retailer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

- Visit kirana stores, rice/grain merchants, provision stores and supermarkets within assigned Ahmedabad beats.
- Identify and onboard new retail outlets.
- Introduce JRM products and explain pricing, quality, retailer margins and current schemes.
- Generate trial orders and convert new retailers into regular repeat customers.
- Visit existing retailers regularly and generate repeat orders.
- Enter all retailer visits, orders and market information into the company's ERP/mobile system.
- Collect information about:
- Current rice brands and varieties sold
- Competitor pricing
- Retailer purchase prices
- Monthly sales volumes
- Schemes and promotions
- Credit terms
- New product requirements
- Follow assigned daily beat plans and maintain strong market coverage.
- Follow up with retailers whose stock may be running low.
- Support payment collection and maintain disciplined customer payment follow-up.
- Report retailer feedback, product complaints and competitor activities to management.
- Help identify opportunities for new products such as Basmati rice, pulses and other food staples.
- Build strong long-term relationships with shop owners and buyers.

Candidates who already know Ahmedabad's kirana/general-trade market will be strongly preferred.

Required Skills

- Comfortable spending the majority of the working day in the market.
- Good communication and relationship-building skills.
- Able to confidently approach recent shopkeepers and start conversations.
- Strong follow-up ability.
- Basic understanding of retailer margins, pricing and schemes.
- Comfortable using a smartphone and mobile ERP/application.
- Honest and disciplined with orders, pricing, collections and market information.
- Able to work independently against a defined beat plan.

Language Requirements
- Gujarati – Required
- Hindi – Required
- Basic English is sufficient.

Vehicle Requirement

Own two-wheeler and valid driving licence required.

Petrol/travel allowance will be provided according to company policy.

Compensation

Fixed Salary: ₹20,000–₹30,000 per month, depending on experience and market knowledge.

Working Style

This role is suitable for someone who enjoys field sales and building a territory, rather than someone looking primarily for an office-based job.

We are starting with focused Ahmedabad territories and will expand systematically as the retail network grows.

The successful candidate will work closely with company management and will have an important role in building our Ahmedabad distribution network from the beginning.

- You currently or previously worked as an FMCG Field Sales Executive, Sales Officer, Territory Sales Executive, Distributor Salesman or General Trade Sales Executive.
- You already have relationships with kirana stores, rice merchants or food retailers in Ahmedabad.
- You understand beat planning and outlet coverage.
- You know how to open new counters and also get retailers to reorder.
- You are comfortable collecting market information instead of only taking orders.
- You want an opportunity where strong performance can lead to significantly more responsibility as the business expands.

Education

12th Pass / Graduate / Diploma – all may apply.

Relevant field-sales ability and market knowledge are more important to us than educational qualification.

Experience

Preferred: 1+ year of FMCG / food / general-trade field sales experience.

Candidates with strong Ahmedabad market knowledge and relevant retailer relationships may receive preference.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
