Multi-Skilled Field Maintenance Technician
Preventive & Reactive Maintenance Retail Sites
Company: Service Yantra
Location: Bengaluru/ Hyderabad/ Chennai (field role you travel to client sites daily)
Type: Full-time, on payroll
Reports to: Operations Lead
Openings: 3
Experience: 3 7 years in multi-trade facility or field maintenance
About the role
Service Yantra manages repair and maintenance for retail businesses across their store networks. Instead of the store manager calling a different vendor for the AC, another for the plumbing and a third for the DG set, we handle all of it through one team, on a schedule, with a documented report after every visit.
You are that team.
This is a diagnostic role as much as a repair role. Every month you visit an assigned set of client stores and carry out a full health check across every system in the store. You then produce a report that tells the client exactly what needs fixing today, what will need fixing soon, and what is running fine. That report is our product. The quality of your assessment is the quality of our business.
If you enjoy finding the problem before it becomes a breakdown, and you take pride in work that is documented properly, this role will suit you. If you prefer being handed a single fault to fix and moving on, it will not.
What a typical day looks like
You will cover 3 -4 client sites a day, usually within a defined zone of the city.
At each site
1. Check in at the store through the Service Yantra app
2. Coordinate with the store manager so your work does not disrupt customers
3. Work through the preventive checklist system by system
4. Carry out minor corrective work on the spot where it is protected and quick to do so
5. Photograph findings before and after
6. Complete the health report in the app before you leave
7. Flag anything urgent to the command centre immediately Some visits will be scheduled before store opening or after closing hours to avoid disruption.
Reactive callouts are dispatched to you through the app during the day.
