Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Factory Manager from the Coffee Industry to oversee the overall factory operations, coffee processing, inventory management, production planning, quality control, and statutory compliance. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of coffee processing, curing, monsooning, storage, and shipment preparation, along with experience in managing factory manpower, machinery, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Responsible for the overall factory operations and inventory control, ensuring smooth and effective day-to-day functioning.
- Oversee production operations and continuously identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and operational performance.
- Monitor and manage inventory in accordance with the company's inventory control procedures and management guidelines.
- Ensure factory machinery, equipment, and production operations are functioning at optimal efficiency.
- Plan and implement coffee storage and processing activities, ensuring proper handling and preservation of coffee quality.
- Monitor the quality of coffee produced and coordinate curing/processing activities to ensure timely completion.
- Ensure processed coffee is ready for shipment in accordance with vessel schedules and shipment requirements.
- Prepare and implement the coffee monsooning plan, including quantity to be monsooned, infrastructure, manpower, machinery, and other resource requirements.
- Have sound knowledge of coffee processing and monsooning processes and ensure adherence to established processing standards.




- Coordinate with the Quality Control Manager to develop and implement standard quality control procedures and ensure factory employees comply with established quality standards.
- Prepare monthly process plans and schedules in consultation with the employees/officers in charge of the Machine Room and Sortex activities.
- Coordinate Machine Room and Sortex operations to ensure production targets and quality requirements are achieved.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements, including licence renewals, statutory returns, calibration and stamping of weighing scales, AMC renewals, and other regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with Government authorities and trade unions whenever required, particularly in relation to statutory compliance and licence renewals.
- Ensure effective labour management, workforce discipline, and manpower utilization within the factory.
- Ensure compliance with all occupational health, safety, and factory safety requirements.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure smooth production, inventory movement, quality control, and timely dispatch of coffee.
- Maintain proper records and reports relating to production, inventory, processing, quality, statutory compliance, and factory operations.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Graduate/Diploma in Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
- 10-15 years of relevant experience in factory/plant operations in the Coffee Industry.
- Strong knowledge of coffee processing, curing, monsooning, storage, and quality requirements.
- Experience in production planning, inventory management, factory machinery, and process optimization.
- Knowledge of labour laws, statutory compliance, factory safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Good manpower management, leadership, problem-solving, and coordination skills
