Role Description The Fabric Sourcing Manager is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and procuring high-quality fabrics that align with Powersutra’s design vision, quality standards, and cost objectives. This full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram involves building and maintaining relationships with fabric suppliers and mills, negotiating prices and contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of materials.

The role includes assessing fabric performance, coordinating with design and production teams to meet style and fit requirements, and monitoring inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock.

The Fabric Sourcing

Manager will also track market trends, explore new fabric technologies and sustainable options, and support continuous improvement in the sourcing process. Day-to-day work requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure fabrics support both comfort and professional aesthetics.

Qualifications





- Strong fabric sourcing and vendor management skills, including supplier identification, evaluation, and relationship building.
- Experience in cost negotiation, contract management, and budgeting for materials in the apparel or textiles industry.
- Knowledge of textiles, fabric construction, quality standards, and performance characteristics relevant to skilled workwear.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with design, production, and merchandising teams to align fabric choices with design and fit requirements.
- Familiarity with inventory planning, lead time management, and supply chain coordination.
- Understanding of sustainable and ethical sourcing practices and willingness to explore eco-friendly fabric options.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and quality.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and comfort working in a fast-paced, growing brand environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in textiles, fashion design, apparel production, supply chain, or a related field; relevant work experience in fabric sourcing is highly preferred.
