Purpose/Objective

Outbound support oversees and optimizes outbound logistics operations, including coordination of shipments, scheduling of deliveries, and management of customer service, to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Outbound Logistics Management: - Oversee outbound logistics for the transportation of cement from production units (IUs/GUs) to distribution centres, dealers, and customers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

- Coordinate the loading, dispatch, and delivery processes, optimizing logistics schedules and routing to enhance efficiency.

Schedule Optimization: - Develop and implement delivery schedules, considering factors such as transportation mode, delivery locations, and customer requirements.

- Collaborate with transport providers to ensure optimal routing and on-time delivery of cement products.

Operational Coordination: - Work closely with production, secondary logistics, and sales teams to align outbound logistics activities with inventory levels and customer demand.

- Maintain effective communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth logistics operations.

Customer Service Management: - Address and resolve customer issues related to outbound logistics, such as delivery delays, product discrepancies, and transportation problems.

- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing reliable and responsive logistics support.

Performance Monitoring: - Track and report on outbound logistics performance metrics, including delivery times, costs, and service levels.





- Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance outbound logistics performance.

Commercial Acumen - Drive commercial success by contributing to the development and implementation of strategies that enhance revenue and market position.

- Identify and leverage recent business opportunities to maximize organizational growth.

Compliance with Legal and Regulatory Standards - Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and corporate policies within Logistics.

- Conduct regular compliance audits to monitor adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
- Prepare and submit detailed compliance reports to senior management, highlighting areas of concern and improvement.

Ethical Standards - Use ethical reasoning to guide decisions, considering the broader impact on the organization and stakeholders.

- Ensure all communications, both verbal and written, reflect the organization’s commitment to integrity and ethics.

Ethics and Governance Integration - Ensure that ethical guidelines are integrated into all aspects of departmental planning and operations.

- Align departmental activities with the organization’s governance framework, ensuring compliance with established policies.
- Establish accountability measures to ensure adherence to governance and ethical standards across the department.





Internal Controls and Risk Management - Develop and implement robust internal control systems to safeguard against financial and operational leakages.

- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential threats to departmental operations.
- Monitor internal controls through regular audits and reviews, ensuring compliance and effectiveness.

Policy Adherence and Development - Implement and enforce organizational policies to maintain consistency and alignment with corporate objectives.

- Contribute to policy development by providing feedback and insights from departmental operations.

Qualifications and Experience

Education Qualification - Master's degree/ MBA in Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field.

Work Experience (Range of years) - 6 years of experience in outbound logistics management, distribution, or warehouse operations.

Industry Knowledge - Solid understanding of outbound logistics operations, including order fulfilment, transportation, and customer service.
