Purpose of the Role

Position exists to ensure adequate availability of spare parts at TMPV regional warehouses in a timely and cost efficient manner to ensure prompt serviceability to customers.

Ensure maximum fill rate & VOR serviceability against customer orders by closely liasoning with vendors and TMPV manufacturing plants.

Planning & maintaining inventory of parts including life time purchase for ensuring availability till end of vehicle life.

In absence of position, customer service will be affected due to non availability of Spare parts . Also it will impact revenue to company from Spares. and increase in customer complaints.

Job Responsibility

1. Parts Procurement Function:

To calculate monthly schedule based on Forecast.

To provide inputs for part addition in SAP MM.

Creation of Contracts, Purchase orders and schedule lines.

To Finalise MOQ (Min. Order Qty) with vendors for optimum inventory levels.

To Finalise SOB in case of multiple Vendors to ensure availability with minimal cost.

Co-ordination with transporters for material pick-ups for ex-work supplies.

Co-ordination with warehouse teams to clear Qty discrepancy and quality issues.

Regular follow-ups with vendors and plant teams to ensure First Fill Rate (FFR) as per Target To ensure fastest response for Vehicle off road (VOR) parts.

Monitor Vendor Supply Performance and work out improvement plan.

Providing inputs for capacity planning/ augmentation/ alternate source development.

Regular review of shortage parts for prioritizing procurement.

Procurement for Initial Stocking for current model parts and retro activities.

Support for IB, Army and Institutional customers

Monitoring and ensuring minimum BO to Sale ratio to avoid any sale loss due to material shortage.

Supporting warehouse team for finalizing Obsolescence/ Write off part lists and qty.

2. Inventory Control:

To Work out part wise inventory levels based on Fast, medium and slow moving (FMS) category.

To Monitor and control inventory as per Target value.





Implementing JIT supplies for high value fast moving parts.

Monitoring & negotiating with vendors to control lifetime buying of parts.(LTP)

3. Pricing and Cost Saving :

To get quotes from Vendors for SPD specific parts/ child parts.

To Update PO prices in line with OE prices on monthly basis through price variation report.

To maintain vendor mark-ups as per approved pricing structures.

Negotiation with vendor for Volume Discounts.

Identify and implement cost saving & volume discount initiatives.

4. Part Development activity for Alternate Brand parts :

Getting Information on available/ competitive vendors in the market.

Providing required database for finalising target price and target volumes.

Co-ordinating with vendors for samples required for testing at ERC/ field.

- Education : Full Time 3 years Diploma
- Relevant Experience: Work Experience minimum 3-8 years.
- Good System Knowledge (SAP/SRM).
- Vendor management skills
- Inventory management skills
- MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, MS Access)
- Techno Commercial Knowledge & Negotiation Skills
