About the RoleBharat Datacenter is looking for an Executive Assistant to the CTO who can go beyond calendar and inbox management. This role is built for someone who can genuinely offload the CTO's day-to-day administrative and technical; by tracking, coordinating, and following up across Network Operations (NetOps), Technical Operations (TechOps), and Development Operations (DevOps). You'll act as the CTO's right hand: managing schedules and communications, but also sitting in on technical discussions, translating priorities into action items across teams, chasing status updates, and flagging issues before they become escalations.
This is not a purely clerical role. You should be comfortable in rooms where people talk about BGP sessions, NPU offload, ticket backlogs, deployment pipelines, and datacenter racking enough to follow along, take accurate notes, ask the right clarifying questions, and coordinate the people who actually fix things.
Key ResponsibilitiesExecutive Support
- Manage the CTO's calendar, meetings, travel, and daily schedule; proactively resolve conflicts and prioritize based on urgency
- Draft, screen, and respond to emails and messages on the CTO's behalf where appropriate
- Prepare briefing notes, agendas, and follow-up summaries for internal and vendor meetings
- Track action items from meetings across NetOps, TechOps, and DevOps and follow up until closed
- Handle confidential information (HR, vendor contracts, financials) with discretion
Cross-Team Coordination
- Act as the coordination point between Network Operations, Technical/Infrastructure Operations, and Development Operations keeping the CTO informed without him having to chase every team individually.
- Maintain a running view of open issues, ongoing projects, and escalations across all three functions
- Coordinate with vendors (ISPs, hardware, datacenter/colocation providers)
on ticket status, escalations, and renewals
- Help prepare and track internal reports/dashboards (uptime, incident summaries, project status) for leadership review
Technical Fluency
- Networking basics: understand routing/switching fundamentals, firewalls, BGP/peering concepts, and common troubleshooting terms (latency, packet loss, uptime, NPU/CPU offload) well enough to follow technical conversations and summarize them accurately
- Datacenter operations: familiarity with how DC ops work racking, power, cooling, cross-connects, colocation, ILL/leased line provisioning to coordinate with facility and vendor teams
- Systems/IT operations: Full understanding of servers, monitoring tools, ticketing systems, and incident workflows. Handling technical support tickets during escalations.
- Development & DevOps basics: familiarity with concepts like deployments, uptime monitoring, CI/CD terminology, and version control enough to track project status and communicate with the dev team
- Expected to troubleshoot independently, ask smart follow-up questions, and know who to loop in
Administrative & Operational
- Maintain and organize documentation, SOPs, and internal knowledge bases
- Support HR/administrative coordination when it intersects with technical teams (onboarding technical staff, access provisioning, asset tracking)
- Manage expense reports, procurement follow-ups, and vendor documentation related to technical operations
- Own small end-to-end projects delegated by the CTO (event coordination, internal process improvements, vendor evaluations)
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant, or Technical Coordinator ideally supporting a technical leader (CTO/VP Engineering/Head of IT)
- Strong written and verbal communication; able to write clear, concise summaries of technical discussions for non-technical stakeholders and vice versa
- Comfortable in a rapid-paced environment with shifting priorities and occasional after-hours urgency (network/DC incidents don't wait for business hours)
- Working familiarity with networking, systems, or IT operations through a background in IT support, NOC coordination, technical project management, or similar
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal hand-holding
- Proficiency with productivity tools (calendar/email management, spreadsheets, documentation tools) and comfort learning internal systems
- High discretion and trustworthiness given exposure to confidential business and technical information
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in a datacenter, ISP, cloud/hosting, or telecom company
- Basic certifications or coursework in networking (CCNA-level) or IT operations
- Experience coordinating across engineering, ops, and business teams in a startup or scale-up environment
What Success Looks Like in This Role
- The CTO's calendar, inbox, and follow-ups run smoothly with minimal direct oversight
- Cross-team status (NetOps/TechOps/DevOps) is visible and up to date without the CTO having to ask
- Technical meetings are documented accurately, and action items get closed, not lost
- Vendor and escalation issues are tracked to resolution, not just logged
- The CTO's time is protected for high-leverage technical and strategic work
