Team Lead — Corporate Events & Sales | Pune GSS Location: Pune, India Work Mode: Work from Office, 5 days a week Experience: 6–10 years Team: 7 Corporate Event Planners + 1 Operations Executive Working Hours: Aligned to UAE business hours Weekly Off: Any 2 days of the week The Role We are looking for a Team Lead to lead our corporate events team and own its commercial performance. You will manage 7 planners and 1 operations executive, with your primary focus on hitting revenue and margin targets, improving conversion, coaching planners to sell better, and maintaining high delivery standards. This is a player-coach role. You will personally stay close to important opportunities and client situations while helping the team consistently perform at a higher level. You don't need to build a large operations function. You need to build a high-performing sales and event-planning team. Key Roles &

Responsibilities 1.

Own Team

Revenue & Performance • Own monthly team targets for revenue, gross margin, conversion and productivity.

- Break targets into clear individual planner goals and track performance through live dashboards.
- Identify performance gaps early and put corrective actions in place.
- Run regular pipeline, conversion and performance reviews.
- Escalate risks with a diagnosis and proposed solution, not just the problem.
- Coach the Team to Sell Better • Coach planners on qualification, discovery, proposals, pricing, negotiation, follow-up and closing.
- Review live opportunities and help unblock difficult deals.
- Identify what separates high performers from low performers and replicate those behaviours across the team.
- Develop underperforming planners through clear expectations, coaching and follow-through.
- Build a culture of ownership, urgency and commercial discipline.
- Stay Close to Clients & Sales • Personally handle selected high-value opportunities and important client escalations.
- Support the team on complex negotiations and strategic accounts.
- Ensure planners are selling profitable events,



not just chasing topline revenue.
- Maintain strong client relationships and drive repeat business. 4.

Maintain

Event-Planning Quality • Use your event and venue expertise to challenge proposals, commercials and delivery plans where required.

- Help planners anticipate operational risks before they reach the client.
- Ensure strong handover from sale through event delivery and closure.
- Help us Improve Through AI & Product • Drive adoption of our AI tools across the team.
- Identify where AI, automation or better workflows can improve sales productivity and conversion.
- Share structured feedback with Product based on real planner and client problems.
- Help the team adapt quickly as our systems and workflows evolve. Must Have • 6–10 years of total experience • 2–3+ years managing a team of 6+ • Experience in corporate events, MICE, hospitality, hotel banquets, event production, travel, events agencies or another relevant customer-facing commercial environment • Proven experience personally owning a sales/revenue target • Experience coaching and improving sales performance within a team • Strong understanding of revenue, gross margin and conversion • Strong spoken and written English • Comfortable working with dashboards, CRM and performance data • Solid problem-solving mindset and comfort operating without a perfect playbook Good to Have • UAE / GCC / international B2B client exposure • Experience leading event planners or corporate-event sales teams • Strong venue, supplier or MICE network • Experience using AI meaningfully in day-to-day work • Experience working with Product, technology or automation teams • Experience building or improving sales processes and SOPs Compensation & Logistics Compensation: ₹12 LPA fixed + monthly performance-linked incentives tied to commercial and team-performance KPIs Location: Pune Work Mode: Work from Office, 5 days a week Working Hours: UAE business hours Weekly Off: Any 2 days of the week, not Saturday–Sunday Please apply only if the shift pattern and non-weekend weekly off genuinely work for you.
