ETL Testing with Stored Procedures and SSIS and Automation and Selenium and Python Lead Role who has completed End to End Project.

SQL Proficiency: Capability of producing intricate SQL statements to check data consistency at some point in the ETL process. This would include joining, aggregation, subqueries and data manipulation among others.

Scripting Languages: Scripting languages like Python, Java or Perl for test automation and/or for data manipulation purposes could be helpful. Stored Proc testing is must

ETL Tools: Knowledge of ETL tools like INFA (Informatica), TALEND, IBM DATA STAGE, Microsoft SSIS, PENTHO etc. Awareness of these tools’ setup, operation, and ways of tracking their performance Keeping down the focus on Established knowledge of tool setup, tool usage, and the ways of tracking their performance

Database Knowledge: Specificity with knowledge of various DBMS available today such as Oracle, SQL server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL among others and the specialties that are associated with these systems.

Data Warehousing Concepts: Knowledge of fundamental concepts of data as well as types of schemas, OLAP and OLTP, and data marts.

2.Analytical Skills

Problem-Solving Abilities: Skills to determine, diagnose and resolve problems concerning data quality, effectiveness and potential problems in the data processing workflows.

Attention to Detail: Investigation of data to look for finer points of inconsistency and problems.

Data Analysis:



Possess ability of skills in processing big data to combine and confirm the correctness of data collected. This ranges from the ability to pattern to recognize that something is abnormal or even trending.

- Automation Skills

Automation Tools: Awareness of tools for test automation such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG and tools specific to ETL like Query Surge. Script Development: For a candidate to be suitable for this job, he/she should be computer literate and be able to write and maintain automation scripts for data validation and performance testing.

CI/CD Integration: Knowledge of how to incorporate automated tests when there is a CI/CD process in place.

- Performance Testing Skills (Added advantage)

Performance Metrics: Familiarity with KPIs that includes the time taken to load data the general usage of system resources, general throughput rate. Load Testing: The feature that can be used to make and conduct loads to see how ETL processes are well formulated and how they are when tested against different conditions.

Optimization: Expertise in behavioural analysis of ETL jobs to SPs and contribution to the development team to improve ETL efficiency.

- Defect Management Skills

Defect Tracking Tools: Having used tools that are used for tracking defects such as JIRA, ADO. Defect Logging and Reporting: Prospect to enter the defects with the description, the steps to reproduce the issue, the expected and actual results, and the severity level.

Collaboration: Developers collaborate and work with other stakeholders to correct the defects and test if fixes were enacted.

- Documentation Skills

Test Documentation:



Capability to address test plans, test cases, and test scripts thoroughly. Reporting: Ability to produce elaborate testing reports reflecting the testing processes and activities, the results, as well as the quality of data.

Compliance: The policy must also specify that it is the responsibility of the approver to make sure that all the documentation is legal, compliant, and easily accessible for audit purposes.

- Soft Skills

Communication: Must be articulate in both oral and written English to be able to effectively explain technical issues to those who may not be in that field. Teamwork: Communicative skills that allow for coordinating with a team and sharing or helping within the team.
