Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead distributed engineering teams from India in a remote-first environment. The role combines technical leadership, people management, delivery ownership, architecture governance, and stakeholder management across multiple business domains.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Leadership

- Lead, mentor, and grow software engineers, QA engineers, and technical leads.
- Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Drive hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development.

Technical Excellence

- Establish engineering standards, architecture governance, and development best practices.
- Drive platform scalability, reliability, performance, and observability initiatives.
- Champion automation, AI-assisted engineering, DevSecOps, and contemporary engineering practices.

Delivery & Execution
- Own engineering planning, sprint execution, release management, and delivery predictability.
- Ensure successful delivery of strategic business and technology initiatives.
- Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks. Product & Stakeholder Management
- Partner with Product, Design, Operations, Finance,



and executive stakeholders.
- Align technical solutions with business objectives and customer outcomes.
- Participate in roadmap planning, prioritization, and architectural decision-making.

Security & Compliance
- Drive security-by-design and privacy-by-design practices.
- Support SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and compliance initiatives.
- Ensure teams follow secure coding and operational standards.

Required Qualifications

- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- 3+ years managing engineering teams or technical leaders.
- Strong experience with cloud-native systems, microservices, APIs, and distributed architectures.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure automation.
- Strong knowledge of Node.js, TypeScript, React, databases, and modern software delivery.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in marketplace, e-commerce, logistics, fintech, or trade-in platforms.
- Experience with AI/ML, computer vision, or LLM-powered products.
- Experience managing globally distributed teams.
- Exposure to compliance-driven environments
