Engineer (Technical Sales) - Plastics

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Engineer (Technical Sales) - Plastics to drive sales, provide technical support, and develop business opportunities in the plastics industry. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in plastic materials (Mainly PE /PP /EVA etc) , processing techniques, and applications, combined with excellent sales and customer relationship skills.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development:

- Identify and develop new business opportunities for plastic materials, products, or solutions.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers in industries such as packaging, automotive, medical, consumer goods, and industrial applications.
- Generate and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and customer needs.

Technical Support & Consultation:
- Provide technical guidance to customers on material selection, processing methods (injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, etc.), and application performance.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and support customers in optimizing product performance.
- Conduct product demonstrations, trials, and technical presentations for customers.

Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, market analysis,



and customer feedback reports to management.
- Participate in trade shows

Qualifications & Skills: Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in the plastics industry.
- Knowledge of plastic materials, manufacturing processes, and industry applications.

Technical & Sales Skills:
- Strong understanding of thermoplastics, additives, and composite materials.
- Hands-on experience with plastic processing techniques such as injection molding, extrusion, and blow molding.
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, material specifications, and test reports.

Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently or in a team.

Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel extensively as needed for client visits and trade shows.
- Proficiency in MS office

Specific Candidate Requirements:
- Candidate should have experience in the polymers/plastics industry.
- Preference for candidates with hands-on polymer processing experience, especially in extrusion.
- Candidates from the rubber industry will not be considered.
