Description The Engineer / Senior Engineer – Building Technology Systems (BTS) will support the design and delivery of ICT, AV, security and ELV systems for commercial, hospitality, residential, mixed-use, healthcare and infrastructure projects, from concept through construction documentation, in line with project requirements, standards and authority regulations.

Responsibilities

Design & Engineering

- Design BTS systems including ICT, AV, security, ELV, telecommunications, Wi-Fi, VMS, ANPR, intercom, visitor management, parking, DAS, smart building and IoT systems.

- Prepare concept, schematic, detailed design and tender deliverables.

- Develop layouts, risers, schematics, rack elevations and equipment schedules.

- Perform system sizing, calculations and capacity assessments.

- Prepare technical specifications and basis of design reports.

- Ensure designs comply with project requirements, applicable standards and authority regulations.
- Ensure compliance with ANSI/TIA, ISO/IEC, BICSI, NFPA, IEEE, local authority and client requirements.

Project Delivery
- Coordinate BTS designs with architecture, MEP, structural and specialist disciplines.

- Attend design reviews and coordination meetings.

- Review shop drawings, material submittals and RFIs.

- Identify design risks and propose practical solutions.

Documentation & Quality
- Prepare reports, narratives and calculations.

- Maintain documentation in line with company quality procedures.

- Review drawings and specifications for quality and consistency.

- Ensure deliverables are completed within project schedule and budget.

AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks,



Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, security and ICT design tools, and BIM coordination workflows.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications or a related discipline.

- 4–6 years’ experience in ICT, AV, security or ELV design consultancy.

- Demonstrated experience in multidisciplinary projects.

- Middle East project design experience is an advantage.

Technical Knowledge & Experience with:

Audio / Visual

- CTS preferred

- Acoustics design fundamentals

- Background music and speaker design, including SPL, STI and RT validation using EASE or similar tools.

- Digital signage and IPTV headend design.

- Projector systems design with line-of-sight calculations

- AV design for meeting rooms, hospitality areas, auditoriums, conference rooms and ballrooms.

- Smart spaces integration

- Hospitality, retail, master planning and detailed design experience.

- Coordinate AV systems with architecture, interiors and acoustics teams.

- Converged network, cable management and power systems design.

- Specifications and report writing

- Sketch-up software experience

ICT
- BICSI / RCDD preferred.

- Structured Cabling Systems – ISP & OSP (Copper & Fiber)

- Telecommunications Rooms (Entrance,



Telecom, GSM, IDF, MDF, etc..)

- Data Centers and Server Rooms

- LAN/WAN Infrastructure

- Wireless Networks (Wi-Fi)

- IP Telephony Systems

- Rack layout design with cable management expertise

- Active network design, including QoS, redundancy, resilience and optimisation for critical applications.

- WiFi Heat map (design experience)

- Control room and data centre rack design with knowledge of Uptime Institute requirements.

- Specifications and report writing

- CAD, 3D Revit, Sketch-up, MS Visio, Ekahau, IBwave

Security Systems
- CCTV Surveillance Systems

- Access Control Systems

- HVM equipments

- Prepare security device layouts, Field of View drawings, schematics, and equipment schedules.

- Support coverage studies and device placement coordination.

- Knowledge of authority requirements and approval processes.

- Security control room and equipment room design

- Security IP network design, including cable management, power and cooling consideration.

- JVSG software tool for camera coverage.
