Embedded Systems & Electronics Design Engineer

Hardware Design | PCB Development | ESP32 | Firmware

Enfireix Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is an Indian medical technology company developing innovative, non-invasive therapeutic devices. Our flagship product, Pulse IX, utilizes advanced pulsed electromagnetic technology. We bring together embedded systems, electronics design, power electronics, and electromagnetic engineering to develop next-generation therapeutic solutions.

We are looking for a highly skilled, hands-on engineer capable of taking complete ownership of embedded hardware and firmware development, from initial circuit design to a fully functional, production-ready product.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT DESIGN

- Design analog and digital electronic circuits from scratch.
- Develop microcontroller-based control boards, sensor interfaces, power supplies, and protection circuits.
- Select microcontrollers, MOSFETs, drivers, regulators, and communication ICs.
- Design signal conditioning, filtering, voltage regulation, and isolation circuits.
- Perform circuit analysis, troubleshooting, and component-level debugging.

1. PCB DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

- Independently design schematics and multilayer PCBs using Altium Designer, KiCad, or equivalent software.
- Handle footprint creation, component placement, routing, and design-rule checks.
- Apply grounding, decoupling, power distribution, thermal, and EMI/EMC design practices.
- Prepare Gerber files, BOMs, fabrication drawings, and assembly documentation.
- Coordinate PCB fabrication, assembly, bring-up, testing, and design revisions.
- Optimize designs for reliability, manufacturability, and cost.

1. ESP32 FIRMWARE DEVELOPMENT

- Develop advanced ESP32 firmware using ESP-IDF and Embedded C/C++.




- Work with FreeRTOS, interrupts, timers, watchdogs, and real-time scheduling.
- Implement PWM, ADC, GPIO, UART, SPI, I2C, and other peripherals.
- Develop control, monitoring, and safety functions.
- Integrate displays, HMIs, sensors, and external controllers.
- Debug crashes, memory issues, timing problems, and hardware-software integration failures.

1. MULTIPLE MICROCONTROLLER PLATFORMS

- Develop hardware and firmware using different microcontroller families.
- Work with STM32, AVR, PIC, ARM Cortex-M, or equivalent architectures.
- Understand peripheral configuration, memory architecture, clock systems, and interrupts.
- Select suitable microcontrollers based on technical and commercial requirements.

1. PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT & TESTING

- Take ownership of embedded development from concept to manufacturing.
- Integrate hardware, firmware, sensors, control circuits, and user interfaces.
- Develop fault detection, thermal monitoring, voltage monitoring, and protection functions.
- Perform validation, reliability testing, and root-cause analysis.
- Maintain schematics, PCB files, firmware repositories, BOMs, and documentation.
- Collaborate with product development and manufacturing teams.

MANDATORY SKILLS
- Robust hands-on electronic circuit design experience.
- Experience designing, fabricating, assembling, and debugging custom PCBs.
- Deep ESP32, ESP-IDF, and Embedded C/C++ expertise.
- Experience with at least one additional microcontroller family such as STM32, AVR, or PIC.




- Strong analog and digital electronics knowledge.
- FreeRTOS, timers, interrupts, ADC, PWM, and communication protocol expertise.
- Proficiency with Altium Designer, KiCad, or equivalent PCB software.
- Ability to interpret datasheets and schematics and select components.
- Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and soldering/rework tools.
- Ability to independently develop and troubleshoot integrated hardware-firmware systems.

PREFERRED SKILLS
- Power electronics, MOSFET/IGBT gate drivers, and switching circuits.
- EMI/EMC mitigation and high-voltage isolation principles.
- Medical device or industrial electronics experience.
- Touchscreen HMI and embedded communication systems.
- IEC 60601-1 and IEC 62304 familiarity.
- Design for Manufacturing and production testing.

QUALIFICATIONS B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, or a related discipline. Exceptional hands-on candidates are encouraged to apply.

WHAT WE EXPECT An engineer who can independently design a circuit, create its PCB, write the firmware, assemble and debug the hardware, and deliver a reliable working product. Practical product development experience beyond Arduino projects, development-board prototyping, or simulation-only work is essential.
