ELV Engineer – Job Role An ELV (Extra-Low Voltage) Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of low-voltage building systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and coordinate ELV systems for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare and review shop drawings, layouts, single-line diagrams, schematics, and cable schedules.
- Coordinate ELV works with electrical, HVAC, fire-fighting, civil, and architectural teams.
- Supervise installation and ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Perform testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and handover of ELV systems.
- Review material submittals, technical specifications, and equipment selections.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and clients.
- Conduct site inspections and prepare IRs, checklists, test reports, and as-built drawings.
- Monitor project progress, quality,
safety, and compliance with project requirements.
