Key Responsibilities

- Perform comprehensive audits of E&M; Outpatient coding to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with CMS and ICD-10-CM guidelines.
- Review clinical documentation to validate the coding information as per CMS standards, provide in detailed feedback to customer/Coder.
- Should be flexible and quickly adaptable to working in mutiple projects
- Positive understanding on coding below concepts.

Incident to Billing/ Visit complexity Minor procedures and applicable modifiers

Good interpretation on assigning the E&M; levels

Assigning accurate medical necessity diagnosis

AWV and Preventive visits, WWE, Telehealth coding guidelines

Able to interpret the client SOP and apply general CMS guidelines.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in medical coding with strong experience in E&M; coding with minor procedures.
- For OBGYN - Knowledge of OBGYN office procedures, global billing rules, Well women exam, PAP smear
- Must be certified by AAPC/AHIMA and should hold active credentials
- Should have experience in auditing, if not a QA can be an acting or designated QA
