Electronics Production Assistant Manager Defence Electronics

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Electronics Production Assistant Manager with solid expertise in Class 3 electronics assemblies and experience in the defence/aerospace or high-reliability electronics sector.

The role will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end manufacturing, assembly, integration, testing, and delivery of mission-critical electronic products while ensuring the highest standards of quality, reliability, compliance, productivity, and on-time delivery.

The position requires strong knowledge of IPC standards, defence manufacturing requirements, electronics production processes, troubleshooting, testing, and cross-functional coordination with Engineering, Design, Quality, Product Management, and Supply Chain teams.

- Qualification: Engineering/Technical qualification in Electronics, Electrical

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the end-to-end production and testing of defence-grade electronic systems, units, cards, and assemblies.
- Ensure manufacturing activities comply with Class 3 electronics quality and reliability requirements and applicable defence/industry standards.
- Coordinate with Design, Engineering, Quality, Product Management, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to meet product performance, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Manage production planning, scheduling, manpower/resource allocation, capacity planning, and cost control.
- Troubleshoot production issues and drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Lead, mentor,



and develop the production team, promoting a culture of quality, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to improve yield, reduce rejection/waste, increase throughput, and improve productivity.
- Evaluate and implement automation, digitalization, manufacturing tools, and Industry 4.0 solutions.
- Support and manage internal and external quality/manufacturing audits.
- Support CapEx planning, budgeting, resource allocation, cost estimation, and cost control.
- Monitor key production KPIs including yield, productivity, quality, delivery, capacity utilization, and cost.
- Ensure effective implementation of ESD, safety, quality, and process-control requirements across the manufacturing environment.

Required Technical Skills
- Strong working knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620.
- Hands-on experience in PCB assembly, electronic unit assembly, integration, inspection, and testing.
- Good understanding of analog and digital electronics, circuits, schematics, drawings, and electronic cards/units.
- Knowledge of wire harness assembly and testing.
- Understanding of Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) and applicable ESS specifications/processes.
- Knowledge of relevant MIL standards and defence manufacturing requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for electronic units, cards, PCB assemblies, and production failures.
- Good understanding of IPC, ISO, ESD, and quality-control requirements.




- Experience with ERP/PLM systems, preferably SAP.
- Working knowledge of Power BI or similar data-analytics tools.
- Knowledge of production documentation, process controls, inspection procedures, test procedures, and manufacturing records.

Preferred Experience
- 7–12 years of relevant experience in electronics manufacturing/production.
- Experience in defence electronics, aerospace electronics, or high-reliability electronics will be highly preferred.
- Experience in Class 3 electronics production and testing.
- Experience managing production teams and driving yield improvement, productivity improvement, RCA/CAPA, and process optimization.
- Exposure to manufacturing audits, CapEx, budgeting, and cost control.
- Candidates with strong hands-on experience in electronics production, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and integration are preferred.
- Immediate joiners or candidates available to join at short notice are strongly preferred.
