Roles and Responsibilities

- Assess safety hazards and take steps to minimise risk.
- Supervise electrical works to ensure 100% safety compliance as per clients requirements.
- Inspect and assess the work done by the electrical staff as per safety standards.
- Conduct safety training for electricians, technicians, and support staff.
- Oversee the purchasing of safety gear required for various electrical jobs.
- Ensure that the work is completed on schedule and as per applicable codes.

Required Skills

- Formulation and implementation of Safety Plans, Procedures, and Budgets.
- Hazard identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), Job Safety Analysis, and Work Permit management.
- Knowledge of safety audits, training, communication, documentation, and pro-active safety measures.
- Good coordination skills, interpersonal relationship management, and conflict management.
- Understanding of workplace culture and the ability to act as a change agent to develop a robust safety culture.
- Strong leadership skills to drive the safety agenda.

Key Performance Standards

- Facilitate compliance with corporate Policies, Standards Procedures.
- Develop and review site-specific Policies,

- Conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation measures including SWP, JSA, and HIRA.
- Ensure emergency preparedness and response procedures are effectively implemented.
- Coordinate safety committees, safety training, and promotional activities.
- Ensure compliance with requirements related to machine guarding, Lock Out Tag Out, lifting tools tackles, electrical safety, work permits, confined spaces, project safety, and PPEs.
- Identify training needs in safety and organise necessary safety training through internal and external faculties.

Requirements

- Minimum experience of 3-4 years.
- Knowledge of all kinds of electrical work processes.
- Ready to work in and around Karnataka. Work location - Bangalore.
- Proven work experience as a Safety Officer in residential and commercial sites.
- Strong leadership skills.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems.
- Good communication skills.
- Familiarity with state electrical and safety codes.
- Basic computer skills.
- A good eye for detail.

Educational Qualification

- ITI Electrician or Diploma will be an added advantage.
- Safety Certification from a Government-recognized institution is a must.
