About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and student-focused Educational Counsellor with 1+ year of experience working specifically in the EdTech industry.

The candidate will be responsible for counselling prospective students and parents, understanding their educational goals, recommending suitable courses or learning programs, and guiding them through the enrollment process.

The ideal candidate should have strong communication, counselling, follow-up, and conversion skills, along with a genuine interest in the education sector.

Key Responsibilities

- Connect with prospective students and parents through calls, WhatsApp, online meetings, and other communication channels.
- Understand students' academic backgrounds, career goals, learning requirements, and preferences.
- Provide personalized counselling and recommend suitable courses/programs.
- Clearly explain course structure, curriculum, learning methodology, fees, duration, and career opportunities.
- Handle student and parent queries and resolve objections professionally.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with prospective students to drive enrollment.
- Guide students throughout the admission and enrollment process.
- Maintain accurate student and lead information in the CRM.
- Achieve assigned monthly enrollment and revenue targets.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective students and ensure timely follow-ups.
- Coordinate with academic, admissions, and operations teams for a smooth student onboarding experience.
- Maintain high-quality communication and build trust with students and parents.
- Track lead status, counselling outcomes, conversions,



and follow-up activities.
- Stay updated on the company's courses, programs, industry trends, and competitor offerings.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Educational Counsellor / Academic Counsellor / Student Counsellor / Admissions Counsellor in an EdTech company.
- Mandatory: Candidates must have prior EdTech industry experience.
- Candidates with experience exclusively in non-EdTech industries will not be considered.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong counselling and interpersonal skills.
- Good listening and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong objection-handling and persuasion skills.
- Target-oriented and comfortable working in a performance-driven environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
- Basic knowledge of CRM systems and lead management.
- Ability to handle multiple leads and follow-ups simultaneously.
