Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Driver Manager to manage driver manpower, deployment, attendance, discipline, performance, safety, and day-to-day driver-related activities across company operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and monitor the day-to-day activities of all drivers.
- Prepare and maintain driver deployment and duty rosters.
- Ensure adequate driver manpower for all shifts and routes.
- Monitor driver attendance, absenteeism, leave, weekly off and shortage.
- Coordinate driver replacement and backup manpower requirements.
- Verify driver duty hours, continuous duty and additional trips.
- Monitor driver performance, discipline and conduct.
- Ensure drivers follow company, client and safety guidelines.
- Monitor Driving Licence (DL), badge and other statutory document validity.
- Coordinate DL renewal and ensure expired documents are not used for duty.
- Conduct driver briefing, induction and periodic training.
- Coordinate with Operations Managers, Supervisors and HR regarding driver-related issues.
- Handle driver grievances and resolve operational manpower issues.
- Monitor driver attrition and support recruitment requirements.
- Validate driver attendance and duty data before payroll processing.
- Coordinate with HR/Accounts for salary, batta, advance and payroll-related issues.




- Maintain accurate driver records and prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports.
- Take immediate action on driver absenteeism, misconduct, safety violations and operational issues.
- Support incident reporting and RCA related to driver activities.
- Ensure proper handover and deployment during shift changes.
- Visit operating locations/sites whenever required for driver monitoring and manpower coordination.

Driver Safety & Compliance Responsibilities

- Ensure all drivers strictly follow road safety rules, company safety procedures and client safety requirements.
- Monitor driver compliance with seat belt, speed limits, traffic rules and safe driving practices.
- Ensure drivers do not use mobile phones while driving.
- Monitor driver fatigue and continuous-duty hours and ensure adequate rest/weekly-off arrangements.
- Identify and immediately address unsafe driving behaviour, over-speeding, harsh braking, rash driving and other safety violations.
- Conduct regular toolbox talks, safety briefings and driver counselling.
- Ensure pre-trip/post-trip vehicle and driver safety checks are completed as required.
- Coordinate with the Safety/Operations team for accidents, near misses and safety incidents.




- Ensure timely reporting of accidents/incidents and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of transport and driver manpower management.
- Strong knowledge of driver safety and road safety practices.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Positive knowledge of MS Excel and basic MIS preparation.
- Ability to manage large driver teams.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of attendance, payroll and driver duty calculations.
- Knowledge of DL verification and statutory compliance.
- Willingness to travel to operating locations when required.

Qualification & Experience Qualification: Any Degree / Diploma

Experience: 3–8 years in Transport / Fleet / Driver Management

Preferred: Experience in employee transportation, logistics or fleet operations Immediate joiner.
