We are looking for an enterprise sales professional to acquire new clients and expand relationships with existing clients for our DPDPA compliance solutions.
This is a full-cycle sales role. You will be expected to identify target accounts, create your own pipeline, engage senior stakeholders, understand their privacy and compliance requirements, position the appropriate solution, coordinate demonstrations and proposals, negotiate commercials and take opportunities through closure.
The role requires enough understanding of data privacy, technology and enterprise operations to hold a credible first-level conversation with Legal, Privacy, Information Security and Technology teams. You are not expected to act as a lawyer or privacy consultant; you are expected to understand the clients problem well enough to identify a genuine opportunity and bring the appropriate specialists into the conversation.
What You Will Do
Build New Business
- Identify and priorities organizations with meaningful DPDPA compliance requirements.
- Build account lists and stakeholder maps across target industries.
- Generate opportunities through direct outreach, referrals, LinkedIn, industry networks, events and existing relationships.
- Prospect independently rather than depend entirely on marketing-generated leads.
- Develop relationships with relevant stakeholders including Privacy and Compliance Heads, DPOs, General Counsels, CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, Risk teams and business owners.
Grow Existing Accounts
- Review existing customers systematically for DPDPA opportunities.
- Identify additional departments, business units, entities and use cases within each account.
- Develop cross-sell and expansion opportunities across relevant solution modules and services.
- Maintain relationships after the initial sale so that implementation success translates into further business and referrals.
Own the Commercial Process
- Coordinate with the client to facilitate structured discovery and position the solution.
- Manage opportunities from qualification through proposal, negotiation and closure.
- Coordinate responses to RFPs, RFIs,
security questionnaires and procurement requirements.
- Work with internal teams on solution scope, implementation estimates and commercials.
- Navigate enterprise procurement, information-security reviews, vendor onboarding, MSAs, DPAs and commercial negotiations.
- Ensure commitments made during the sales process are accurately reflected in the final scope handed over to delivery.
Manage Pipeline
- Maintain accurate prospect stages, next actions, probability and expected closure dates in the CRM.
- Build and maintain approximately 3X4X qualified pipeline coverage against assigned revenue targets.
- Provide reliable forecasts rather than optimistic pipeline reporting.
- Track conversion rates, deal velocity, win/loss reasons and account activity.
What You Need
Enterprise Sales Capability
- 36 years of B2B technology, SaaS, cybersecurity, GRC, RegTech, LegalTech or enterprise-services sales experience.
- Demonstrable experience independently creating pipeline and closing business.
- Experience selling solutions involving multiple decision-makers and enterprise procurement.
- Evidence of meeting revenue targets, with the ability to discuss previous quota, pipeline generated, deals closed and sales-cycle length.
- Strong discovery, presentation, negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to engage senior stakeholders without relying entirely on pre-sales or senior management.
Privacy and DPDPA Understanding You should have, or be capable of quickly developing, a working understanding of:
- Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and DPDP Rules, 2025;
- phased commencement and implementation timelines;
- Significant Data Fiduciary requirements;
- children’s data requirements;
- processor and third-party accountability;
- Consent Managers and the distinction between registered Consent Managers and enterprise consent-management platforms.
We do not expect the salesperson to provide legal advice. We do expect you to recognise when a matter requires legal, privacy or technical expertise rather than improvising an answer.
Technical Literacy
You should be comfortable discussing, at a functional level:
- enterprise applications and data flows;
- APIs and system integrations;
- databases and cloud/SaaS environments;
- identity and access concepts;
- data discovery and classification;
- encryption and security controls;
- audit trails and workflow automation.
The objective is not to design the implementation yourself, but to understand enough to conduct credible discovery and involve technical specialists intelligently.
Sales Tools and Discipline
Hands-on experience with:
- CRM platforms;
- LinkedIn Sales Navigator;
- account and contact research tools;
- structured outbound email and calling;
- presentation and proposal preparation;
- pipeline and forecast management.
Preferred Any of the following will be an advantage, but is not mandatory:
- Previous experience selling cybersecurity, GRC, privacy, compliance or RegTech solutions.
- Existing relationships with CISOs, CIOs, DPOs, Privacy Heads, Legal Heads or Compliance leaders.
- Experience selling to BFSI, insurance, healthcare, technology/SaaS, retail/e-commerce or other data-intensive businesses.
- Familiarity with GDPR, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, SOC 2 or related privacy/security frameworks.
- Privacy or security certifications such as CIPP, CIPM or equivalent.
- Experience with enterprise contracts in the 30 lakh+ range.
Contract Type : Permanent Here at Havas across the group we pride ourselves on being committed to offering equal opportunities to all potential employees and have zero tolerance for discrimination. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applicants irrespective of age, sex, race, ethnicity, disability and other factors that have no bearing on an individual’s ability to perform their job.
