We are looking for a skilled Microsoft Azure Cloud Solution Architect to design, integrate, and implement comprehensive Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions using Microsoft Azure and Azure Site Recovery (ASR) services. In this role, you will ensure business continuity for critical workloads and data by creating resilient, scalable, and cost-effective DR environments. You will lead cross-functional teams through all phases of DR planning, deployment, and testing, and work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into effective cloud-based DR architectures.
The architect will provide technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle, ensuring adherence to best practices in security, compliance, and cost optimization.
Should have 4+ years of relevant experince.
Lead Disaster Recovery cloud implementation initiatives, evaluating existing infrastructure and providing recommendations for integration and configuration with Azure services.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project teams during DR solution delivery.
Architect end-to-end disaster recovery solutions for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud models.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical DR architectures, including cross-region replication, failover automation, and recovery point objectives (RPO) and recovery time objectives (RTO).
Integrate cloud DR solutions with existing infrastructure, applications, and data protection strategies.
Play a lead role in conducting DR tests, identifying and resolving issues encountered during testing, and documenting test results.
Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, DevOps, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and configuration of DR solutions,
including Azure Key Vault for secure management of keys and secrets.
Conduct DR drills and failover tests to validate recovery plans and ensure compliance with business continuity standards.
Lead the deployment and configuration of Azure Site Recovery for virtual machines, databases, and application tiers.
Establish and maintain replication policies, retention settings, and failover/failback procedures.
Ensure security, compliance, and governance of cloud environments, implementing best practices and meeting regulatory requirements.
Monitor DR environments using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Automation Accounts.

Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Azure Recovery Manager (ARM) templates.
Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams, as well as business stakeholders, to ensure solutions align with organizational goals.
Optimize cloud resources for performance and cost efficiency, continuously refining solutions.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, leading technical reviews and assessments.
Document architectural designs, operational procedures, and technical decisions.
Stay updated with the latest Azure features, cloud technologies, and industry trends.
Play a lead role in conducting post test lessons-learned sessions.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Azure Cloud Architect or similar role, with deep expertise in expertise in designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions including designing and implementing cloud-based Disaster Recovery using IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud models.
Strong knowledge of Azure services, cloud architecture patterns, infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
Understanding of cloud security, networking, and compliance standards.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Ability to lead and mentor technical teams, manage multiple responsibilities, and drive project objectives.
Proficiency with Azure Active Directory, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure DevOps, Azure Functions, and various storage and compute options.
Knowledge of security best practices, compliance frameworks, and governance models.
Robust understanding of RTO/RPO, failover/failback, and cross-region replication.
Solid understanding of Azure governance, security, and cost management.
Preferred
Knowledge of global regulatory and compliance requirements related to workload and data resiliency, data backup and restoration, and DR plan development and execution.
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) are highly preferred.
