MPS Hospitals is looking for a qualified and committed General Medicine Physician to join our multidisciplinary clinical team.
Position
Consultant – General Medicine / Internal Medicine
Qualification
- MD General Medicine / DNB General Medicine
- Valid Tamil Nadu Medical Council / applicable medical council registration
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct General Medicine OPD consultations
- Manage inpatients and ward rounds
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
- Manage patients with diabetes, hypertension, respiratory illnesses, infections and other common medical conditions
- Attend Emergency and ICU consultations when required
- Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and radiological investigations
- Prescribe and monitor medications and treatment plans
- Coordinate with Surgery, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Critical Care and other specialties for multidisciplinary patient management
- Maintain accurate EMR and clinical documentation
- Counsel patients and relatives regarding diagnosis, treatment and follow-up
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement and hospital protocols
Requirements
- MD/DNB in General Medicine
- Good clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage both OPD and IPD patients
- Good communication and patient-counselling skills
- Ability to work effectively with nursing, emergency and multidisciplinary teams
