We are seeking a highly experienced Director – Database Platforms & Managed Services to lead our global database managed services organization supporting enterprise clients across multiple industries.

This leader will be responsible for the operational excellence, service delivery, client satisfaction, and strategic direction of global teams managing infrastructure comprising,

- Oracle EBS applications
- Oracle Databases
- Microsoft SQL Server Databases
- SAP Databases
- Cloud Database Platforms (OCI, Azure, AWS)

This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for leading a global 24x7x365 database operations organization while partnering closely with client executives, delivery leaders, and technical teams.

What You'll Do

- Lead global database managed services operations across multiple client environments.
- Ensure availability, reliability, security, and performance of all supported database platforms.
- Drive operational excellence through SLA governance, KPI management, and service improvement initiatives.
- Establish scalable follow-the-sun support models and operational standards.
- Serve as executive escalation point for database service delivery.
- Build trusted relationships with client CIOs, IT Directors, Infrastructure Leaders, and ERP stakeholders.
- Conduct operational reviews, service governance meetings, and executive business reviews.
- Communicate service performance, risks, roadmaps, and improvement plans to client leadership.
- Lead geographically distributed teams of DBAs, team leads, architects, and managers.




- Drive workforce planning, skills development, succession planning, and employee engagement.
- Establish a culture of accountability, client focus, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Lead automation, AI-assisted operations, proactive monitoring, and service modernization initiatives.
- Standardize tools, processes, reporting, and operational governance across database towers.
- Drive operational efficiencies, reduce incident volumes, and improve client outcomes.
- Establish robust governance around Incident, Change, Problem, Capacity, and Knowledge Management.
- Oversee major incident response and client communications.
- Ensure audit readiness, security compliance, access governance, and disaster recovery preparedness.

What We're Looking For

Required Experience

- 15+ years in Database Administration, Infrastructure Operations, or Managed Services.
- 8+ years leading global technical operations teams.
- Proven experience managing enterprise-scale Oracle, SQL Server, SAP, or multi-platform database environments.
- Experience leading 24x7x365 managed services organizations.
- Strong client-facing and executive communication skills.
- Deep understanding of ITIL service management practices.

Preferred Qualifications

- ITIL Foundation or higher certification.
- PMP, Prince2, or equivalent management certifications.
- Oracle, Microsoft, SAP, OCI, Azure, or AWS certifications.
- Experience in Managed Services Providers (MSP), GCC, or Enterprise Support organizations.
