Job Summary: (Briefly describe the expectations of the position.)

The Director, Finance and Accounting (CFA) is responsible for directing and developing QA, Payroll and Reporting teams to provide timely and accurate financial accounting, reporting and analysis; support delivery of effective and efficient internal controls and deliver optimized processes that provide value to internal customers and meet the requirements of external stakeholders and regulators.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: (List essential functions of the job and approximate percentage of time spent on each activity; describe what must be accomplished, not how it must be done.)

25% Corporate Finance and Accounting Oversight

- Partner with the service providers/develop in-house teams to implement and continuously improve processes and tools that support financial transparency, collaboration and discipline in decision making and monitor effectiveness through the tracking of key performance measures.

- Drive accountability and provide actionable data, information and insights for business partners and leaders to support the execution of business strategies.

- Develop and cultivate rapport and credibility as a strategic partner vertically within the division, as well as cross functionally with leadership.

- Develop and maintain effective and responsive communication with team members to ensure timely identification and understanding of critical performance factors and development of the team.

25% Quality Assurance Oversight

- Provide leadership to maintain a business wide culture of quality and work collaboratively to set quality strategic direction.

- Define, develop, and implement short-term and long-term strategies, goals, objectives and tactics relating to the regulatory and quality assurance function.

- Assist in establishment of quality assurance and internal control policies by providing consultation and recommendations to CFA.

- Provide continuous support, training, mentoring, and development to ensure CFA reporting and data quality are complete and accurate.

- Develop performance measurement models, techniques, systems, and tools. Review, analyze and improve manual and automated procedures, systems, and controls.

- Oversee trend analysis of audit results and present leadership with initial root cause analysis.

- Participate in SGS wide review and approval for additional process opportunities where work is currently sourced.





25% Payroll Oversight

- Communicate actively with CFA, Human Resources, Legal, Tax and Retirement Plan Services to review cross-departmental impacts of the payroll process and financial posting.

- Partner with Human Resources in aligning and implementing ongoing process improvements and best practices for payroll, advantages, and other payroll deductions.

- Develop strong internal controls and improve existing policies and procedures creating efficiencies.

- Oversee the evaluation, selection, and implementation of systems and service providers necessary for effective payroll operations.

- Maintain awareness of current practices in payroll processing and keep the Company informed about changes in all current payroll tax regulations, laws and policies.

- Strategically provide continuous improvements to payroll process by analyzing external trends and presenting recommendations to senior leadership and management.

25% SGS Reporting Oversight & Planning

- Oversee accounting, tax reporting and tax withholding regulatory compliance related to all business unit products and services to ensure timely and accurate reporting of transactions and related information.

- Partner with internal customers in continuous improvement activities to identify, recommend and implement improvements to streamline operations and increase efficiencies.

- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams within SGS to support the end‑to‑end forecasting and planning process.

- Review Actuals against Plan, identify variances, and analyze root causes to improve forecast accuracy and planning assumptions.

- Continuously improve forecasting and planning processes by refining models, assumptions, and coordination mechanism.

- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Chartered Accountancy

- Experience : Ten (10) years progressive financial management experience, including financial accounting, tax, and payroll, or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.

Experience working in financial accounting, management reporting, and supervisory experience.

Experience in a rapidly changing environment and comfortable proposing and implementing change.

Experience leading multiple teams, developing highly effective teams and individuals, motivating and inspiring ideas and innovation,



problem solving with an out of the box way of thinking, and the ability see the value in the information provided and to inspire others to make use of it.

- Knowledge &

Skills : Requires highly developed problem solving and analytical abilities to determine business needs and provide appropriate solutions. Knowledge of controls frameworks and risk analysis models, internal auditing standards and techniques and quality principles. Achieving results through others; express ideas clearly and persuasively in oral, written, and presentation forms. Strong ability to influence to achieve results.
