About the role
Start your engineering career in a working tool room. You will support mould maintenance, repair and modification while learning how precision tooling supports safe, reliable production.
What you will do
- Support preventive and breakdown maintenance of injection moulds.
- Help repair, modify, assemble and fit mould components.
- Assist with mould polishing and surface-finish work.
- Check hot-runner systems, cooling lines, inserts and cores.
- Measure tooling parts using suitable precision instruments.
- Learn the use of tool steels,
coatings and heat-treatment methods.
- Work with lathes, milling machines, EDM and grinding equipment under supervision.
- Follow tool-room safety, quality and housekeeping standards.
You may be a good fit if you
- Hold a diploma in engineering; an engineering degree is preferred.
- Have about one year of relevant tool-room or mould experience.
- Understand basic engineering drawings and measuring instruments.
- Are willing to learn from experienced tool-room professionals.
- Work carefully and follow safety procedures.
