· Work in cross-functional teams with colleagues across Manufacturing, Product Engineering, Stampings, Design, Quality, Supplier Technical Assistance, Programme Management and Purchasing
· Evaluate Dimensional Feasibility of the product design, identifying technical issues and ensuring design entitlement to deliver quality targets
· Direct and improve virtual BIW assembly simulation methods and process
· Propose solutions using internal and external benchmarking
· Liaise with suppliers, internal and external, to ensure simulation process is robust.
· Develop part and assembly location strategies, agreeing with stakeholders
· Analysing measurement data, both at part and assembly levels
· Problem solving build issues and driving issue resolution
· Support Lead Engineer or Line Manager in programme reviews
· Keep on top of emerging technologies and industry trends
· Following and developing of functional standards
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
· Effective Communicator; Verbal and Written. Able to present data and information in a variety of forums and to key stakeholders
· Computer Literacy o Strong Experience using CAD Packages (CATIA/3DExperience or Autoform)
o Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications
· Self-Motivated individual, who takes full ownership for deliverables
