What this role actually is

Lending is a trust business. Nobody borrows money from a brand they do not believe in. That belief is not built by posting offers. It is built by showing real people, real shops, and real moments where credit changed something, and telling those stories well enough that a stranger stops scrolling.

So this is a video and storytelling role first, wrapped in a social media job. You will find the story, script it, shoot it, cut it, and put it out. You will also plan the calendar, write the copy, design the statics, and read the numbers, because the function is yours end to end.

How we work

Quality over quantity, and we mean it. We would rather publish six pieces a month that people send to a friend than thirty that fill a grid. You will never be measured on post count. Nobody here will ask you why you did not post on Tuesday.

High agency is the whole job. This is a small team. Nobody will hand you a brief, a shot list, or a queue of tasks.

You will decide what is worth making, find the shop owner willing to talk on camera, get yourself to their store, and come back with something. When you hit a wall, we expect you to route around it and tell us afterwards, not wait for permission. If you need someone to tell you what to do next, this will be a frustrating place to work.

You get real tools. Design, editing, scheduling, analytics, and paid AI subscriptions. Camera and audio gear if you can make the case for it. What we are looking for is the judgment to use them well.

What you will own

Video, end to end

Find the stories worth telling: borrower journeys, shop floors, the team, the neighbourhoods we lend in

Script and storyboard before you shoot, so the edit is not a rescue operation

Shoot on location: phone or camera, framing, lighting, and clean audio (audio is where most amateur video dies)

Edit short form vertical for reels and shorts, plus the occasional longer cut for YouTube and sales use

Subtitles, sound design, pacing, hooks. Own the craft, not just the software.

Storytelling and copy

Find the human angle in a product that is fundamentally a spreadsheet

Write hooks, scripts, and captions in Tamil and English that sound like a person and not a press release

Build a narrative that holds together across months rather than a series of unrelated posts

Content planning

Build and maintain a monthly calendar across Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and WhatsApp channels

Tie content to what the business needs that month: a product push, a branch opening, a festive lending season, a hiring driveDesign creative for the posts that are not video, and keep the visual identity consistent

Community

Reply to comments and DMs, route genuine loan enquiries to the right internal team, keep the tone consistent

Track what people keep asking us and turn that back into content

AI leverage

Use AI across ideation, scripting, first draft copy, image generation, editing, subtitling, and repurposing

Build workflows so one shoot day yields a month of material

Know where AI output is not valuable enough and fix it by hand

Measurement

Report weekly on reach, retention, saves, shares, follower growth, and enquiries generated

Watch retention curves on video and change how you cut the next one because of what you saw

What we are looking for

Video you have made. A reel, a short film,

a college documentary, a wedding edit, a YouTube channel, a meme page you edit yourself. This is the single most important thing in your application. Send it before you send anything else.

A storytelling instinct: you notice the detail that makes a story land, and you know what to cut

Comfort with editing and design tools (CapCut, Premiere, DaVinci, Canva, Figma, or whatever you already use well)

Fluent Tamil and English, written and spoken, and the confidence to put a nervous shop owner at ease on camera

Genuine daily use of AI tools, with opinions about which are good and why

High agency: a track record of starting things nobody asked you to start

Willingness to learn how lending works. You cannot tell the story of a credit product you do not understand.

Care about accuracy. We operate in a regulated space, so claims about rates, eligibility, and approvals have to be exactly right.

Nice to have

Experience with a fintech, bank, NBFC, or any regulated brand

Basic understanding of RBI's fair practices expectations for lender communication

On camera presence, or photography

Experience running paid campaigns, even at a small budget

What you get

Full ownership of a function from day one, with your work in front of the founders every week A paid stack of the best tools available rather than a request form and a wait

Direct exposure to how an NBFC is actually built, financed, and scaled

Room to grow into leading the marketing function as the team expands

How to apply

Send us the best video you have made, plus links to any other work you want us to see. Shortlisted candidates will receive a short practical assignment. We watch the video first.

Vik

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
