Job purpose

We are a fast-moving technology company looking for a DevOps Engineer to own the reliability, automation, and scalability of our platform across cloud and distributed environments. You will turn manual processes into robust pipelines, strengthen our monitoring and security, and ensure our systems and data flows run dependably at scale.

Responsibilities

- Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for containerised applications.
- Replace ad-hoc deployment automation with maintainable, version-controlled processes.
- Manage and optimise cloud infrastructure for cost, security, and high availability.
- Operate and harden data ingestion, storage, and processing pipelines.
- Maintain observability through dashboards, metrics, and actionable alerting.




- Support distributed and remote compute environments with limited connectivity.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code and reproducible environment configuration.
- Define backup, disaster-recovery, and rollback strategies for critical services.
- Strengthen security: secrets management, access control, patching, and hardening.
- Collaborate with software and hardware teams to streamline releases and incident response.

Required Qualifications

- 3+ years in a DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering role.
- Strong Linux administration and advanced shell scripting.
- Hands-on experience with containers and container-based deployments in production.
- Production experience with CI/CD tooling and automated pipelines.
- Solid public-cloud experience (compute, storage, networking, DNS, IAM).
- Experience operating relational databases in production (backups, tuning, recovery).
- Familiarity with monitoring, metrics, and visualization tooling.
- Comfortable troubleshooting networked and message-based systems.
- Proficiency with Git and team-oriented version-control workflows.

Requirements

- Infrastructure-as-code and configuration management (e.g. Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience with time-series data and distributed/edge deployments.
- Exposure to connected-device or IoT fleets.
- Scripting and automation in Python.
