- Handle the complete product development cycle from customer enquiry to final dispatch.
- Review customer drawings, specifications and requirements and conduct feasibility studies.
- Lead Current Product Development (NPD) activities.
- Coordinate tool development, tool trials and corrections with the Tool Room and suppliers.
- Prepare and review APQP, PPAP, FMEA and Control Plan documentation.
- Coordinate sample development, submission and customer approval.
- Manage ECN/ECR and engineering change activities.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase, Tool Room and other cross-functional teams.
- Follow up on production planning and product readiness.
- Coordinate dispatch planning and customer schedules.
- Ensure on-time delivery as per customer requirements.
- Handle customer technical discussions, development issues and follow-up activities.
- Monitor development timelines, project status and closure of customer requirements.
Preferred candidate profile
- Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 requirements.
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC and 7 QC Tools.
- Good knowledge of GD&T; and engineering drawing interpretation.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD / CATIA / SolidWorks.
- Strong customer handling, coordination and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and technical documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
Preferred Industry Experience:-
- Experience in Automotive Plastic Injection Moulding.
- Experience in handling OEM / Tier-1 customers, preferably Bajaj.
- Experience in complete product development management from customer enquiry feasibility tool development trials PPAP customer approval production final dispatch.
- Experience in leading and coordinating cross-functional development teams.
