The Design Engineer - Trainee will support the design, development, testing, and improvement of UAV/drone mechanical systems and components. The role involves assisting senior engineers in 3D modelling, engineering drawings, component selection, prototyping, design validation, and documentation while gaining practical exposure to drone manufacturing and product development.

Key Roles Responsibilities

- Assist in the design and development of multirotor UAV structures, frames, landing gear, payload mounts, enclosures, and mechanical assemblies.
- Create and modify 3D CAD models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Support design calculations related to weight, dimensions, structural strength, centre of gravity, payload, and component placement.
- Assist in selecting suitable materials and manufacturing processes for UAV components.
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), part drawings, assembly drawings, and design documentation.




- Coordinate with manufacturing, production, electronics, and testing teams during prototype development.
- Support prototype assembly, fitment checks, dimensional verification, and design validation.

Technical Skills Required
- Basic knowledge of SolidWorks CAD software.
- Understanding of engineering drawings, GDT, tolerances, fits, and manufacturing drawings.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical design, machine elements, materials, and manufacturing processes.
