Job Summary

We are looking for a Mechanical / Concept Design Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in mechanical product design and development. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with SolidWorks / AutoCAD / CATIA / Creo / other 3D CAD software and should be capable of developing concepts, 3D models, assemblies and detailed manufacturing drawings.

Candidates from Automotive, Material Handling, Industrial Automation, Machine Building, Special Purpose Machine (SPM), or similar engineering industries are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop 2D and 3D mechanical designs for machines, components, assemblies and equipment.
- Create concepts based on customer requirements and convert concepts into detailed engineering designs.
- Prepare 3D models, assembly drawings, manufacturing drawings and BOMs.
- Design and modify mechanical components, structures, fixtures, brackets, conveyors and machine assemblies.
- Work on Material Handling systems and Special Purpose Machines (SPM).
- Ensure designs are practical, manufacturable and suitable for assembly.
- Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis and basic engineering calculations where required.
- Apply knowledge of GD&T;, fits & tolerances, materials and manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate with production, fabrication, purchase, quality and project teams for design implementation.




- Review and modify designs based on manufacturing and assembly feedback.
- Maintain proper documentation, drawing revisions and engineering records.
- Participate in design reviews and support continuous improvement of existing products/machines.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical Design and Machine Design.
- Hands-on experience with SolidWorks / AutoCAD / CATIA / Creo / NX or equivalent CAD software.
- Good knowledge of 3D modelling, assembly and 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Understanding of GD&T;, fits & tolerances and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, welding and sheet metal.
- Experience in Material Handling / SPM / Industrial Automation / Automotive / Machine Building will be an advantage.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as with cross-functional teams.

Educational Qualification B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Production Engineering or a related discipline.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates currently working in or having experience with:

Automotive | Material Handling | SPM | Industrial Automation | Machine Design | Machine Building | Conveyors | Fixtures | Jigs | Tooling | Manufacturing Equipment will be preferred.
