Role & responsibilities
- Store Operations & Inventory Management
- Supervise receipt, inspection, staging, binning, and issuance of all mechanical spares, raw materials, and consumables.
- Conduct periodic cycle counts, quarterly audits, and annual physical stock verifications; reconcile stock discrepancies.
- Implement ABC, FSN, and VED inventory analysis techniques to optimize stock levels and minimize slow-moving/obsolete inventory.
- MIS Daily metrics, Weekly Inventory levels, Aging report
- Material Handling & Safety
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), 5S methodology, and safety compliance within store premises.
- Oversee proper storage, preservation, and material handling (e.g., heavy components).
- Procurement & System Coordination
- Coordinate with PPC, Procurement, Engineering, and Maintenance teams.
- Manage SAP transactions: Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Goods Issue (GI), reservation tracking, and stock transfers.
- Set and monitor Reorder Levels (ROL), Minimum/Maximum stock limits, and Safety Stock thresholds.
- Vendor & Scrap Management
- Coordinate with Purchase & QC team for material returns, warranty claims, and rejections.
- Oversee identification, segregation, and disposal processes for scrap, obsolete spares, and non-moving items.
Preferred candidate profile Qualifications & Experience
- Education: any degree or equivalent.
- Experience: 8 to 10 years in store operations / inventory management within a manufacturing, heavy engineering, process, or EPC industry.
- Proficient in SAP system.
- Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical parts
- Solid leadership, team management, and inter-departmental communication skills.
