SkenzerIQ is an Indian software product company building AI powered automation for IT and business workflows, delivered to government departments and enterprises on-premise, in the cloud, or hybrid. We are an OEM: we own the code we ship, and we remain responsible for it once it is running inside a government department or an enterprise network.

About the role

Most of what we deploy goes on-premise, onto hardware a customer owns, inside a network we do not control and often cannot reach from the internet. Some of those environments are air-gapped, which means no package manager, no container registry and no pulling anything at install time. Everything arrives as a bundle prepared in advance and installed from a shell on a machine you have never seen before. The rest of our footprint runs on AWS and Azure.

You will own how software gets from a Git repository into all of that, repeatably, and how it stays healthy afterwards. You will work directly alongside Shandesh Paul.

How you will work

You will be responsible for deployment across every project we have running at once, not just one. For our cloud footprint that means owning the GitHub Actions pipelines end to end: build, test, tag, publish artefacts, deploy. You will keep our Docker images small, pinned and reproducible, run the Compose stacks behind them, manage the reverse proxy and TLS certificates in front of them, and keep configuration and secrets separated properly across environments.

For on-premise work: you prepare install bundles (saved image archives, vendored dependencies, checksums, install/uninstall scripts) assuming zero internet access, then provision and harden the server itself (SSH, firewall rules, systemd units, disk layout, log rotation, time sync, security baseline). You will be on customer calls to establish their environment,



run installations live, write runbooks (including rollback), and take on-call once you know the systems.

What we're looking for (compulsory)

- Linux administration: processes, services, permissions, journald, systemd units
- SSH and key management, working entirely on remote machines
- Shell scripting you actually wrote
- Networking: DNS, routing, ports, NAT, firewalls, HTTP
- TLS: certificates, trust chains, renewals, internal CAs
- Nginx or equivalent reverse proxy
- Docker and Docker Compose: images, Dockerfiles, volumes, networks, multi-service stacks
- Offline and air-gapped installation experience
- Server hardening and security baseline documentation
- Secrets and configuration management
- PostgreSQL and MySQL operations: backups, restores, zero-downtime migrations
- Git and GitHub
- Runbook and technical documentation writing
- At least one application you've deployed yourself and kept running
- Clear written and spoken English

Positive to have: AWS/Azure, GitHub Actions or equivalent CI/CD, Ansible/Terraform, Redis, Prometheus/Grafana, incident response, Go or Python.

Logistics

Paid internship, full-time, on-site in Gurgaon, India. 6 months, starting first week of October 2026. Stipend ₹10,000-₹20,000/month, set on the strength of your interview. Reports to Shandesh Paul. 1 position. We are capping applications at 10 for this role, so apply early.
