Responsibilities
In this role, the planner provides supply chain expertise and leads discussions in the S&OP; process to decide demand and supply, ensure execution of the supply plan, partner with supply planners and other functions in the supply chain.
Success in this role will require effective communication with a cross-functional team, a deep understanding of the supply chain, agility to react to unexpected events, proactive planning on potential events, and identifying approaches that meet both demand initiatives and supply capabilities. Planning of RM’s based on sales forecast and production plan.; Coordinator for production, supply chain and Customer service.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITY
- Demand planning the S&OP; experience And MIS and attitude to work with all stake holders is a must for this function.
- Review statistical forecast generated and overlay commercial & business insights to generate the demand plan
- Aggregates complete Monthly Demand Plan.
- Leads monthly S&OP; meeting with Sales Teams.
- Forecast Planning co-ordination with Sales and Order Management
- Use current and historical sales information, market trends,
customer forecast to develop a rolling demand plan for our stable existing business.
- Collaborate with Sales Team to develop and validate forecasts for New Wins.
- Main liaison between commercial teams and supply chain.
- Work to create open lines of communication with Sales Team and Key Customer Accounts.
- Coordinates the introduction on new wins to the supply chain.
- Maintain data for all finished product, current wins and transitions.
- Responsible to ensure all master data required to perform statistical forecast exist.
- Coordinates and Manages Production Planners, Buyers and Order Management Team.
- Provide weekly or monthly reports on forecast accuracy and analysis of key accounts.
- On the spot problem solving with all account issues.
- Develop and recommend improvements to current operating procedures.
- Special projects and ad hoc analysis.
- Achieve forecast accuracy and bias KPIs.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required.
- A postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain Management or Operations is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in demand forecasting are required.
- 8 to 12 years of experience in Supply Chain Management or supporting supply chain functions, preferably in manufacturing, distribution, customer service, and/or planning, is preferred.
- Strong stakeholder management skills are required.
- The role requires the ability to lead multiple projects and initiatives independently while demonstrating initiative.
- The role requires the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization where priorities change rapidly and tight deadlines exist.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and other analytical tools is required.
- Intermediate knowledge of SAP is preferred.
- APICS certification is preferred.
- Training or certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or Process Excellence is preferred.
