Database EngineerJob Overview

We are looking for a skilled Database Engineer to design, develop, optimize, and maintain reliable and scalable database systems. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with database architecture, performance optimization, security, backup and recovery, and data management.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain relational and NoSQL databases.
- Create and optimize database schemas, tables, indexes, views, and queries.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot performance-related issues.
- Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and database scripts.
- Implement database backup, recovery, replication, and disaster-recovery strategies.
- Ensure database security, access control, and data integrity.
- Analyze and resolve database errors, connectivity issues, and data inconsistencies.
- Work closely with backend developers to design efficient data-access solutions.
- Support database migrations, upgrades, and infrastructure changes.
- Optimize database performance for high-volume and large-scale applications.
- Monitor database health, capacity, availability, and resource utilization.
- Maintain database documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Assist with data integration, ETL processes, and synchronization between systems.
- Participate in production support and incident resolution.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database concepts.




- Hands-on experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or SQL Server.
- Experience with database design, normalization, indexing, and query optimization.
- Understanding of database security, permissions, and access management.
- Experience with backup, recovery, replication, and high-availability concepts.
- Good understanding of data modeling and database architecture.
- Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with Linux and cloud environments.
- Experience working with Git and software development workflows.

Good to Have
- Experience with AWS RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, MongoDB Atlas, or similar cloud database services.
- Knowledge of Redis or other caching technologies.
- Experience with ETL, data pipelines, and data warehousing.
- Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD.
- Experience handling large datasets and high-traffic applications.
- Knowledge of database monitoring tools and performance-analysis techniques.

Experience

1–5 years of experience in database engineering, database administration, backend development, or a related field.

Pay: ₹368,798.45 - ₹1,504,400.30 per year
