We're hiring a Database Admin to manage, optimize, and maintain our database infrastructure, ensure data security, and support application performance.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain database infrastructure to support application performance and scalability requirements.Monitor database performance and health, identify bottlenecks, and optimize queries and indexes for efficiency.Manage user access, permissions, and authentication to ensure data security and compliance with organizational policies.Plan and execute database backups, disaster recovery procedures, and business continuity strategies.Troubleshoot and resolve database issues with minimal downtime, providing technical support to development and operations teams.Document database configurations, procedures, and runbooks to ensure knowledge transfer and operational consistency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field3+ years of experience administering relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL,



or Oracle)Proficiency with database backup and recovery tools and disaster recovery proceduresStrong understanding of database security, user access controls, and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2)Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and index managementFamiliarity with cloud database platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or Google Cloud SQL)Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with ability to work under pressure
