About the role

Join Deloitte as a Data Security and Cloud Engineer to collaborate with architects and development teams, ensuring secure application integration and enterprise authorization across cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities

- Collaborate with Application Architects and stakeholders to assess application architecture, integration patterns, and security requirements.
- Define and recommend integration approaches for enterprise authorization services with applications and APIs.
- Test and troubleshoot authorization policies using REST APIs and tools like Postman to resolve access-control issues.
- Assess cloud data platform architectures such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure Synapse Analytics to apply authorization requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to ensure secure and scalable application and data integrations within cloud environments.

Required skills and experience

- 5+ years of experience working with Application Architects, developers, and technical teams on application security and integration.
- Robust understanding of application architecture,



integration patterns, authentication, authorization, and API security concepts.
- Hands-on experience with REST API testing, Postman, and troubleshooting API requests, policy evaluation, and access control.
- Familiarity with modern cloud data platforms including Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Ability to translate security and authorization needs into practical, scalable integration solutions across Application, Security, and Data Engineering teams.

Nice to have

- Experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, and token-based authentication.
- Knowledge of RBAC, ABAC, and policy-based access control models.
- Familiarity with API Gateway, microservices architecture, and Cloud IAM solutions such as Azure/Microsoft Entra ID.
- Skills in JSON and API troubleshooting.
- Background in enterprise application integration strategies.
