Role Description The Data Science Subject Matter Expert (SME) will design and deliver high-quality learning content and training sessions focused on data science and analytics for students preparing for tech careers. This full-time, on-site role in Coimbatore involves developing curricula, creating problem sets, case studies, and real-world projects, and conducting interactive classes, workshops, and doubt-clearing sessions. The SME will review and update course materials to reflect current industry standards, tools, and best practices, ensuring content is accurate, practical, and engaging.

The role also includes evaluating learner performance, providing constructive feedback, mentoring students on career paths in data science, and collaborating with other trainers and product teams to improve program effectiveness.



The SME is expected to stay current with emerging trends in data science and contribute ideas to enhance FACE Prep’s training offerings.

Qualifications

- Solid foundation in core Data Science and Data Analytics concepts, and the ability to apply them to real-world problems.
- Proficiency in Data Analysis techniques and tools, with the ability to interpret and communicate insights clearly.
- Solid understanding of Statistics, including descriptive and inferential methods relevant to data-driven decision-making.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills for problem-solving, model evaluation, and designing data-driven learning content.
- Hands-on experience with programming languages commonly used in data science (such as Python or R) and relevant libraries.
- Familiarity with machine learning workflows, data visualization tools, and basic data engineering concepts.
- Prior experience in teaching, mentoring, corporate training, or curriculum development in data science or analytics is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to learners with varying levels of proficiency.
